We stayed at the village Motel just off the A6. Really convenient for travelling . The Flambee is on site. The food is really good , I had a carpaccio of salmon, my husband had chicken livers with puff pastry and langustine sauce.I then had roast Poulet de Bresse and he had a really delicious veal chop. The meal came to â¬75 with a bottle of wine and fizzy water

Tucked in the shadow of the beautiful church of St. Philibert in Tournus, this little cafe served me up the most delicious little casserole of escargots imaginable. I am determined to try to re-create this dish with its snails, sliced potatoes, and its sauce of parsley--but I'll have to do this while still in France, unless someone can tell me where to get good snails for cooking in Oklahoma! The mustard salad dressing was also to die for. After this perfect lunch I was ready to tackle the study of the church and its architecture.

L'etablissement dispose de 2 restaurants, le restaurant Gastronomique le Quartier Gourmand et le Bistrot. Possibilite d'accueillir des groupes, des familles, des seminaires selon vos envies et vos budgets.
The restaurant Le Quartier Gourmand is really an outstanding classic Michelin starred restaurant. It is unfortunate that some of the reviews here relate to the Bistro, which is not the same environment or the outstanding food or the same fantastic service. The Quartier Gourmand deserves to be the top rated in Tournus. Living nearby, we have checked out all the Michelin starred restaurants in Tournus, and rate this one by far the best for quality of food, wonderful classic atmosphere and superb service. We had a celebration there on a Friday evening: it was quite busy but there was no shortage of discrete attention to our every need. The menus offered a great choice, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. The wine list also does not damage the pocket. This is the best place to dine in style in Tournus.Thank you very much for your message. We do our best for your pleasure and hope see you soon Best Regards

Although next to a tucked away highway hotel, this restaurant attrackts locals looking at the parking place. Excellent value for money, friendly service with a smile, good selection of wines.Modern and spotlessly clean, with a terasse away from the motorway overlooking the surroundings of Tournus.

We shouldâve known picking somewhere by the river would be expensive, which is OK, but the food (tagliatelle carbonara) was tasteless and the childrenâs pizza margarita was so loaded with oregano, our 9 year old could barely eat it. The service started well but once we had our food it took about 45 mins for anyone to check on us and didnât ask if everything was OK. I guess with this location, they donât need to worry as will always be busy!

At 192 Euros, this was the most expensive dinner for two that I have ever paid in my life and I am afraid it was not worth it. The décor of the dining room is cold, the staff rather too formal, there was little chance given to read the voluminous wine list and the prices of wine are dreadfully exaggerated. To pay 13 Euros for a cremant du Bourgogne that was far from the best I have ever tasted in these parts and 16 for the same with a few âhouseâ additions is a simple swindle. 50 Euros for the four course. The main was Beef cheeks, deliciously cooked but is there a cheaper cut of meat? The cheese course was a curious concoction of goatâs cheese and chutney and mousse; how I would have preferred a selection! Yes, the cooking is very good but one would hope so at these prices. If you must dine there, then avoid pudding and go for coffee instead, easily the best bargain of the evening at 5.50 Euros as it also includes small cakes.

In spite of a cruise ship in town taking over many restaurants along canal, we persisted and found this delightful, family-run restaurant along a quiet cobblestone street. Outside seating was perfect! Valerie, the owner, spoke great English, and had a fabulous sense of humor. Three of the four of us had the beef brochette, with a broccoli mousse and excellent fries. The other meal was a fish mousse with the broccoli mousse and tasty little pancakes. Ice cream parfaits we're a perfect end to the meal. Don't miss La Boheme when you are in Tournus.

Yet another remarkable dining experience at the best restaurant Iâve been to! Not just the wonderful matching of flavours, textures & colours, but the well-informed wines with the menu was inspired & introduced me to local wines I would not have necessarily chosen. The decor, layout, tableware & staff are all exemplary. Iâll return time & again to be seduced by the place.Dear Sirs,We thank you for your review and your fidelity. We're glad to read that you enjoyed your meal in our restaurant. We hope to welcome you once again on another occasion,Best regards,Amandine & Jean-Michel Carrette
