Vivement l'année prochaine qu'on y retourne !

I can understand those who visit this place just for the restaurant. Set in a very lovely location, with well-maintained buildings and topiary all around, the location is excellent. The service was very good and the food outstanding. Well presented food, plenty of it and an imaginative menu made for a great dining experience. Loved it.Hello Chris, It's a real pleasure for us to read your comment. We are really happy to see that you loved your time with us and enjoyed our food and service. Thanks a lot to shared your positive opinion on Tripadvisor. We hope to see you another time, The restaurant team.

Stopped at this little place in the village of borers after a morning at Lasceaux II caves and we're delighted with the home cooked menu for only 13 euro. Delicious butternut soup, salad, melted cheese feuille, stew, from age and then a most delicious homemade chocolate cake. Did I mention hour red wine included? Such a nice welcome from the owners.. And a chance to practice my French. Not fancy but clean and a break from all of the so so and expensive restaurants catering to tourists in the area.

Very nice menu with farm's duck and vegetables. 4 menus options starting at 15€ plus 'à lá carte' options. All with starters, main course and dessert. We had the menu 'Tradition' plus a 'duo de foie gras' to share and taste this farm's foie gras. Every options were very good and tasty. Excellent crème brûlée.Kind and quick service.

We were staying at a gite barely a hundred metres away and couldn't believe that a place this good was so close. We booked dinner for a large group and it could not have gone smoother. With lovely traditional simple yet well executed dishes, very efficient service and a pretty good price too. The six course 26 euro menu looks great value but we opted for the three courses at 22 and glad we did as the portions are generous. This place has rooms and also a lovely Terrace on warmer nights. It's popular at weekends so book. The magret and confit carnations were top notch. As were the deserts.

This is one of the best places in the area for a simple meal with family or friends. It has a justifiably popular bar as well, and a lovely terrace for outdoor - but sheltered - eating, weather permitting. The staff are very friendly and professional.

If you like duck, which I do, this is a must visit quaint little place. My wife, who was not a fan of duck, now is. It's that good - it can convert non-believers into appreciators of the finest of fowls. We were warned by our hosts not to expect much from the service. This is France, so I never do. I found them to be very straightforward and above-average in their charm. Then again, any time a meal in France concludes without a shouting match with the serving-staff or chef is a success in my books. The food is very reasonably priced. I strongly recommend the plat de chef (it's either called that or something similar), which has duck prepared two ways, beautiful sardinaise potatoes and a decent salad. Everything is grown locally, and the ingredients feel very fresh. Accompanied by a great pichet of rose and crunchy bread, a meal for two gave us change for €40. You sit outside in a functional but pleasant terrace, with lovely atmosphere. You know it's a good place when it's busy on a Monday and full of locals not tourists. Highly recommended.

Michelin Star incoming. Been to Michelin starred restaurants nowhere near this level on flavour.Add this to a truly stunning setting and superb service.Beautiful, as was the presentation of every dish. This chef is going to the very top.One of the most fabulous meals I’ve ever enjoyed. I went for the 89 Euro Gastronomic menu, wife went with 44 Euro menu and also a 23 Euro menu available so fully inclusive. Both menus wowed every single dish on presentation and more importantly flavour.Subtle delightful flavours alongside hidden BOOM flavours that surprised and delighted.Everything on the plate was there for a reason and had been really thought about which I love. The Chef incorporated non local but top quality ingredients (langoustine, pigeon, lobster) with the the best ingredients of the region (Fois Gras, nuts in a nut sauce to die for) to make a marriage made in heaven.A genius at work. Someone who loves what they do. You felt the thought and love he’d put into every dish. The only slight negative in my opinion is in regards the wine. A bit of improvement and this place has nailed it.The quality of the wine was really excellent, as was the knowledge of the lovely Sommelier Frederic, but I feel he’s a star in the making but still a bit inexperienced and could do with a bit of advice from a wiser head. Why? I feel food of this quality needs a matching wine menu per course to match the Chefs genius. Also, as there was no matching wines, we put our trust in the hands of the Somellier with the simple request of a bottle of red and bottle of white you think matches the menu.I have no complaints regards the quality of the wine he chose or the superb service , but I think if he chooses a red of 40 Euros then if the white is 120 Euros he should check if that’s ok before opening.Superb wine but a bit naughty or naive in my opinion.Don’t be put off, as drinks are the same as all other local restaurants and reasonably priced quality wines are available. For me, this is an absolute MUST visit whilst this chef is in situ. Many thanks for your visit and for this detailed review. Be sure we will take your remarks in account. We are really glad you enjoyed your meal and we hope to see you here again soon.

We sensed discomfort as soon as we arrived. The woman at the front desk did not take time to welcome us or show us to our seats; and she merely mumbled that what they serve is salad, pizza, and desert. We stood in the outdoor dining area asking waiters about seating in the shade. They tried to help, and no shaded table opened up. Finally a table for six opened up. The woman came in and roughly told us we couldn’t sit there, so we asked about a table for four that she had just cleaned. She did not respond to our saying we needed shade and would gladly move to the more shaded table for four since one of us has a skin condition. We waited, and help never arrived. So after ten minutes, we just left. Some other reviewer commented about the “acueil” so... This is a cute place on the river and we know locals who have had good meals here. Management should work on making it welcoming.
