Family run business, on main route in town. Plenty of free parking available close by.Pleasant welcome, smart, clean restaurant. The meal comprised of a set 6 courses, with a welcome cocktail and calvados over sorbet in between courses. Each dish was piping hot and presented beautifully. Thank you.We will definitely return during 2018.Madame, Monsieur, nous vous remercions pour cet avis et vous souhaitons une bonne et heureuse année 2018. Au plaisir de vous revoir

We tried this place on spec having just arrived from Calais. The place was friendly, plenty of locals. The meat and fish were cooked on a wood fire. Very simple but tasty, served with thin chips and a lettuce salad with a tasty dressing. My wife and our friend had Tarte au Citroën. They both said it was very good. Fairly cheap for 3 meals play de jour 12.50 euros 55 euros including drinks and coffee.

A very French restaurant with a pasta theme although I had an entrecôte steak. Friendly service. Opens evening for about two hours. Difficult to find without satnav and even then itâs not well illuminated. Itâs near to a humped bridge over the Cherbourg to Paris railway.

We visited this restaurant three times on our recent holiday to the Cotentin and it didn't disappoint. First of all, it's in a beautiful setting right on the banks of the river Douve. It's a little bit out of the way but well worth the detour. The main dining room is beautiful and relaxing with a big fire burning where your meat is cooked. At dinner there is a choice of set menus ranging from 13 euros up to 35 or you can just order from an a la carte. The food is absolutely delicious and I would recommend the ribs cooked in a honey sauce which were to die for. But what makes this restaurant so good is the welcome and the service from the staff, particularly the lady who seems to run the place. A really warm welcome and when she found out it was my husband's birthday, she put a lit candle on his dessert and sang him happy birthday. Would advise booking at weekends as it gets busy but if you are in the area then you really should give it a try. Merci beaucoup, je suis vraiment très heureuse de vous avoir fait passé un bon moment.Au plaisir de vous revoirBernadette

english-speaking francoise put the gloss on this simple, but tasty meal: a seafood "stew" for me and a galette for my wife. this is not pretentious restaurant, just a village eatery, but none the worse for that. will eat here again if in the area.

On the Contentin peninsula, within driving distance of the Normandy beaches and several ancient castles. There is also a hotel connected with the restaurant. The English translation is "Old Castle Inn," and it lives up to its name----there is an old cas
We arrived at 0850 - just in time for dinner. I noticed a few flies but didn't take much notice. We ate an average meal of 3 courses. Went to the room it had a balcony which look nice with a view of the castle. Then went to bed! It was the worst bed I have ever stayed in. The shower cubicle was discusting around the edges. In the morning we went to pay and there were so many flies around the reception it made me feel sick. My husband was then ill for 5 days with a bad stomach. Don't bother with this hotel, the reviews are not true.Nous sommes désolés que vous ayez vécu une mauvaise expérience dans notre établissement. Had a lovely lunch here with my son. We both went for the 12 euro 90 three course lunch menu and it was fantastic and great value. Starter of saucisson sec, steak frites and the most sublime pear tiramisu. Washed down with a nice biere pression. Very enjoyable indeed!
