This was our third visit to Fontvieille, primarily to enjoy the extraordinary hospitality and creative cuisine afforded by Jean-Pierre, Catherine and their team. What began as a venture into the culinary unknown in 2009 has blossomed into a relationship that is much more than dining at a restaurant. Sure, there are hundreds of places to dine in Provence, and they all have something special, along with a divergence of opinions. We are admittedly biased when we say Le Patio is a âworld enclaveâ to usâ¦a blend of nostalgia, recognition, shared memories and simply outstanding cuisine. For us the definition of âspecialâ is Table 7. Caveat: If you are counting your calories or laser-focused on budget, find another restaurant. If you want to be relieved of all cares and pretensions, and enjoy some of the finest local cooking in the world, Le Patio is your Provence destination. Merci beacoup, Catherine & Jean-Pierre!

Grabbed an early table for lunch, and was glad we did as later on people were being turned away, rightly it is popular. The staff were friendly and attentive. Salads and pasta perhaps more noteworthy that the burgers. Puds were lovely especially the chocolate soufflé and café gourmande. Recommend if you fancy a lazy lunch.

Many reviewers knock this place because of the "triste" ambience. I can understand that point of view. We went on a Friday evening, and the 26⬠menu ticked the right boxes, i.e. traditional cooking, but no real surprises. Enjoyable, yes, but wow, no.The wine choice is limited but well chosen, we took a 2010 Domaine de Vallongue at 26â¬, which was very pleasant, and given the price that you can pay for it at les Baux de Provence, very good value. If you are in St. Etienne-du-Gres, why not, but not worth the excursion from St. Remy de Provence.

We showed up with a group of 9 people including 5 kids and the staff here did a terrific job of accommodating us on a festival night. The food was terrific, not overpriced, and the friendly staff worked hard to bridge the language gap. Try the coupe dessert, it was awesome!

Fantastic menu choices and wonderfully warm and friendly service. We ate there 3 nights of of 5 and each time was as good as the last. Nice little terrace if you are lucky enough to find space.Very reasonable prices compared to others in the town, and very clean. Only wish they had a branch in UK!! Well worth a detour from the main town to eat here.

The two partners from Alsace are very specific about your allocated time for dinner so that the kitchen is not overwhelmed and can give every customer the care that is deserved. A fixed price menu with four alternatives for each course that changes monthly. Food is beautifully prepared and served. The food and sauces were delicious. Bread was tasty. We had a leisurely

Raw Food Restaurant. We offer a discovery plate and it is better to book because our capacity is limited.
Thought it could be fun to try something new, so we went to this Raw-food and juice bar place to try. Wow was I surprised! Delicious food, excellent juice, and caring staff. Don't let the concept of raw food be a stopper here, go there and try! I'm sure that you will leave with a very positive experience. Highly recommended.

Restaurant familial, spécialité Bouillabaisse. Véritable bouillabaisse, présentation du poisson (7 à 11 variétés, suivant pêche et arrivage), découpe devant les convives. Soupe de poisson maison, bouillabaisse traditionnelle
This is a great Fish Restaurant. Previously in the Salin de Giraud, Fontvieille, and Le Paradou, Patrick and Patricia Roux are now back in Fontvieille at their new fish restaurant, Cote Mer. It is a simple restaurant serving beautifully cooked fish and seafood dishes at a very reasonable price compared to other fish restaurants in Les Alpilles and at a higher quality. Their fish soup is very good as is their platter of seafood which has a selection of three oysters with mussels, shrimps and whelks. The Dorade Royale (Bream) was beautifully cooked. They serve a simple side dish of vegetables. Dessert was good and my crème brûlée was as good as it was simple. The family are very friendly and service is excellent. Wine is well priced and 1/2 bottles are available. The white from nearby Mas Sainte Berthe is a good choice. They serve bouillabaisse if ordered 2 days before. We had their bouillabaisse at their previous restaurant "Le Petit France" in Le Paradou which was excellent and such good value. We intend to return in two or three days to try it again.

My Wife and had lunch on 2 occasions here during our stay at St Remy. The restaurant is easily found on the main road to Tarason and there is ample parking nearby. The lunchtime offering is either 2 or 3 courses at 12.50e or 15.00e and provides 4 to5 choices on each course. This is provincial French eating at its best, Madam is front of house whilst Monsieur is master of the kitchen. And what a master! The main course on our fist visit was so good that we went back hoping to eat this again, it was a chicken stuffed with mushrooms dish and unlike many French restaurants was accompanied by well prepared vegetables. Alas, the chicken was not available second time but the chef's veal concoction was very nearly as good.Quite clearly the chef is extremely competent and we would go back and simply trust whatever he had cooked.

Firstly I should say that I ordered the melon salad and that was delicious (a huge portion also). Unfortunately my partners two courses were not so enjoyable; the courgette flowers were stuffed with cheese and drowned in a rich sauce that suppressed their delicate flavour, and the lamb chops were grisly and chewy. It is such a shame that we didn't both enjoy our meal here as we had such high hopes. Whilst I didn't try the rhum baba I have to say it looked delicious and so I would certainly consider returning here for the salad again and/or dessert. We would highly recommend the Cafe du Progres across the street for their food just be aware that it is more cafe-ish that restauranty over there.
