Best tasting burger, using really good beef. lovely relaxed atmosphere.Breakfast, if staying in hotel, was excellent, loads of choice. Plenty of room to sit, not crowded.

My husband and I visited St. Avold in November. We were there for the day to visit my Grandfather's grave at the Lorrraine American Cemetery. With time on our hands before our return to Paris, we took the time to visit the lovely town of St. Avold. It was close to lunchtime when we arrived in the town and we stumbled upon this little restaurant. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by who we later came to know as Michele. I speak enough French to get by and understood that it was not yet lunch service but we were welcome to have a seat and he would bring us something. From the moment we started to speak to Michele, he was so welcoming, so hospitable, finding out what we like and don't like and offering us really delicious food. We later met his wife and sons and they were all equally welcoming. This restaurant seems to be the place that everyone comes to for lunch and Michele makes sure to make everyone feel welcome while at the same time preparing truly delicious meals. We don't know if we will ever return to this wonderful little town, but the memories not only of our visit to the cemetery but visiting Michele and his family at Le Regal will always be fondly remembered. Thank you Michele and your family for making us feel so welcome!

Brasserie à l'Anglaise et Restaurant au 1 er étage ouverte 7/7 sur la principales places en centre ville de St AVOLD
It looks like a good quality restaurant and the food was quite good. There wee several groups at the outside tables and a few inside, always a good sign.We had pasta, quite good and well priced. With a salad each total price was 25 euros. Felt that was good value. While we were there, it had good turnover. There was a varied menu and our waitress was pleasant and helpful.Choice of music was interesting, nothing terrible but different.I can recommend based on this experience.

No English menu or wait staff with English. What they do deliver is awesome French Food in a quant environment that was so comfortable and relaxing. The wine and dishes were amazing. This truly gave me a much more positive view of French Food.

Had a wonderful lunch at La Batisse on Armistice Day when very few restaurants were open in St. Avold. Service was excellent, and the good was really, really good. Introduced my daughter to crisy, delicious "cuisse de grenouilles". Very innovative cuisine - basil creme glace with the salmon. We'll definitely go there again. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We arrived without a reservation just after the restaurant opened at 19.00 and were offered a choice of tables. By 20.00 it was full. We both had foie gras followed by rognons de veau both of which were excellent. Our waitress was really good, very efficient with a nice sense of humour. Our meal was washed down with a bottle of local wine, Pinot Gris. At a total cost of â¬99 we thought it was good value for the standard of food provided.

We stopped here because of all the other reviews and are happy we did so! The crepes are tasty, the filling is also tasty and you will certainly not feel hungry afterwards!Dogs are also welcome in the creperie. It is also not too far from the highway and we could park in the street, almost opposite the creperie (handy if you're on holiday and don't want to park your car somewhere in a dark street).
