We have been twice once for coffee and scones once for lunch. The whole experience is enchanting, the surroundings and presentation of food are exquisite. The atmosphere is relaxing. It is quite magical with its pretty lighting and imaginative decoration. Definitely what Puy lâEveque needs - it is not your usual salon de thé. Please go and enjoy.

Had a great meal for the four of us a la carte. Good selection of food, some choices clearly local/regional along with other wider options. The restaurant was popular with a nice atmosphere. Service was good as was the wine selection which was also reasonably priced. Could not fault the food and the evening was overall good value with the wine and aperitifs included.
We went here for dinner with friends as it was a live music night. The food was amazing & everyone very friendly. The live music was brilliant and got everyone up dancing. Definitely recommend & will be back

We came here after reading the reviews on trip advisor. We were not disappointed . Great decor and the chairs and tables with the surrounds was very relaxing and comfortable , it's the sort of restaurant that you could sit around and talk for hours. We didnt book but were made very welcome. My entrée was plentiful with clean distinctive flavors. My main meal, beef tartare was not liked l have had before but tasty. They did let themselves down with the vegetables though, very blan.I did find it hard to choose something on the menu that I could have as I can not eat fish and did not wish to eat duck, but as it the beef was very nice. The owners are lovely and very willing to accommodate different needs such as vegetarians.

Alain and Cathy have filled a void in the region with the launch of this true French bistro, offering fresh food with quality products, in a relaxed bistro environment. They have redone the former tourist shop of the village with great taste, offering us a dining experience that wasnât available in the region until now. The menu proposes both local specialities such as magret, a salad with local chèvre cheese, or foie gras, but the surprises come from the fresh fish served daily including a delicious sole that is prepared in front of us or the traditional VGE cassolette inspired by the Paul Bocuse classic. The menu changes regularly in function of the seasons, products available and arrivals, which demonstrates that only real, fresh cooking is proposed here. The wine menu is obviously lovely, proposing the best Cahors wines but not only, hence a lovely Provence rose that was a delight with spring on itâs way. I recommend making a reservation on weekends, the local community are happy to dine here regularly and the owners turned away several people while we were there. We look forward to coming back to La Table du Marché in the summer and enjoy the terrasse. Thank you to the owners and their team for proposing a new bistro far from bustling Paris !

Popped in for lunch and yet again had a beautifully cooked meal without fuss in a lovely restaurant. A well balanced meal - hot asparagus and cheese pie followed by beef with rice and a good glass of red. All efficiently and charmingly provided by the host, owner, chef.

We were recommended this restaurant by friends who live locally when we were visiting the area. We were not disappointed. We were a group of eight so pleased to get a booking at quite short notice. Parking was easy immediately opposite. It was a warm late summer evening and we sat at the front of a covered terrace overlooking the small garden and village square. There was an excellent a la carte menu or fixed price menu on the board with a choice of starters, main course, cheese and dessert. This was particularly good value and the choice of two of our party. The food was cooked to order and was excellent. The owner waited on table and looked after us well. Could not ask for more really.

It starts with the warm welcome. Moves on to a shortish but enticing menu, followed through with correctly cooked, fresh courses. And ends with a very reasonable bill. The seasonal menu was just excellent (lobster, lamb and a truly amazing profiterole). The extensive wine list includes very good Cahors wines also very reasonably priced. The menu changes next week so no excuse not to return soon.

We were surprised to find that our favourite specialty foods shop had also opened a restaurant. It's just outside Prayssac and offers a spacious dining area. I think they only do lunches.Great food at very reasonable prices. It's wholesome rather than exotic but it's clear that a lot of care goes into the preparation
