Closed from november to april, open the april, may, june: thursday friday saturday sunday, july and august open every day except tuesday.
Baramoules was directly opposite our gite so we could hear the partying our first evening in Pleneuf val Andre. We went the next day for Sunday lunch and quickly realised why it is such a popular venue. Everyone is made very welcome, service is prompt and the moules are absolutely delicious. We don't think we've ever had better. Merci

Let me start by saying that the service was excellent. The waitress was extremely helpful and quite pleasant. The ambiance is very white and extremely well lit little (way too bright for my taste, it really detracts from the potential intimacy that a small restaurant can possess... a bit too sterile). As for the food my meat was overcooked but still good and the potatoes delicious. My wife's fish was way too salty for her but my Grandmother loved it... so it probably depends on personal taste. It was pleasant but I wouldn't go back.

Lovely little restaurant. Huge portion of moules and some interesting flavours of sauces to accompany. We tried to eat here at the weekend but no luck without a reservation. Weekday, no problem out of season. Also, a nice place to sit just for a drink at the bar

Such a warm welcome and a very relaxed atmosphere. The food was faultless and very well priced, the wine very good and the lovely staff were attentive and jovial. There are new owners to this very smart, tidy restaurant and they deserve every success. It is well worth walking away from the noisy seafront, a 'must' for visitors to Pleneuf, we were in Pleneuf for 4 nights and having enjoyed this lovely place went back for 3!

Went on Saturday night, without having reservation. By chance they had had a cancellation and so we took it. Was a little unsure as I wanted a 'genuine' french cuisine experience and this looked a little middle of the road. How wrong i was...The food was absolutely delicicious, every single course was top-knotch, from teh crab starter, right through to the chocolate/creme brulee dessert.Would definitely go back...

First tip...use GPS or find the town first...and that will be difficult enough given French road signage...Second tip...any signs for the hotel will say "Domaine du Val" not "Chateau" and will be slightly larger that postage stamps.Third tip...if you finally get to the driveway, there will be an unlit stone slab sign that you may or may not notice. We got there later than we wanted, having gotten lost in several towns. Few people (like maybe 3 out of ten locals) can even describe where the town or the hotel is and send you in the right direction. Arrive finally at close to 10pm to a dark driveway and property, but fortunately there were staff expecting us. We insisted (and they complied) with being shown to our dark upstairs cottage, where to park in the full parking lot (I would have just left the car blocking the driveway by then!) and how to negotiate the unlit grounds with our luggage. The room was comfortable and "shabby chic", the grounds need attention and some of the statuary is of fat and oafish Gauls. (Others are more classical.) We did not understand why there was a broken s;ab of granite thrown into the pool and the mismatched outdoor furniture (western "wagon wheel", cheap chinese plastic and mid-century modern) did not enhance the grounds either. The breakfast was good and the staff there very nice. The surrounding area was lovely and in the light of day you could enjoy the property and the location near the sea. There nothing wrong that a few million couldn't cure and make this a first rate Chateau or Domaine to enjoy!

This is a well priced and lovely restaurant Would note that I found it difficult to book over the phone as French is not my first language and the man taking the booking was quite impatient and I think confused by my surname (McDonald - gets a strange reaction in France) Mussels were fresh and good portions. Table was a bit cramped as there were three of us at a table for two (despite booking) and there were several dishes for the shells, fries and wine and water glasses. The girl who served us was pleasant and friendly. Definitely book in advance though as we were eating as people were being turned away every ten minutes or so.

We really liked the food here - a wide selection of savoury and sweet crepes, all freshly cooked, and a good choice of daily specials. We went on a Sundays evening and it was very busy - great atmosphere, but the service was quite slow and a bit erratic (slow to take our main order, quite a long wait for food and then slow to clear and take dessert orders). We couldn't fault the food, however. The highlight was a smoked salmon and goats' cheese crepe from the specials board. Just one word of advice - worth ordering side salad if you are hungry as a single crepe may not fill you up.Also, not open every night, so check beforehand!
