Oddly enough, I've never been very impressed with any creperie restaurant that I've tried in France. So I was pleasantly surprised to have found delicious crepes, both salty and sugary! They are homemade, and there are some very creative and tasty combinations on the menu, if you are looking for something outside of the tradition ham & cheese. And the dessert crepes were absolutely dangerous! So good! Plus, the staff is super friendly and it's a very fun decor inside. Reservations are recommended though, because it's small. Don't be in a rush either, as it does some time to get served...but it's well-worth it! Highly recommended.

The ambiance and service were really good and this is a nice restaurant to go to if you want to do something special. They have tasty fresh baked bread and the dishes look amazing. However, that simultaneously is the issue, they look fantastic but disappoint in taste. The cod carpaccio seemed to be coming from the freezer and was watery. The pasta with salmon was good but could have used some more flavoring and the "bun" that was supporting the desert was going soft and was fairly tasteless. You can have a three course menu for 39 eur which is a very reasonable price, but if you order a la carte the food seems to be overpriced (42 eur for a very small sized portion of steak). Nice to try but would pick a different restaurant next time

My wife and I recently had dinner at Chez Jules in Orleans and very much enjoyed the experience. Although there were definite language issues, the very friendly hostess was able to effectively communicate the menu choices. Dinner was outstanding. I had the ris d'agneau and it was excellent. Service was very good. I would definitely recommend Chez Jules to anyone looking for dinner in Orleans and look forward to returning myself.

We were lucky to secure the last table in this small atmospheric restaurant in the heart of Orléans - close to the Cathedral without an air of the tourist trap. Delightful menu using local produce and good selection of regional wines.Happy to recommend.

Our B&B host recommended this restaurant and booked our table for us. We had a four course meal which included a cheese course for just over 29 euros each and the wine menu has an excellent choice of wine too. I had the fish main course and I could not praise the quality enough. This restaurant in my opinion is a must for anyone who wants good old fashioned courteous service and food with a touch of French class and care to detail and cooked to perfection. We would certainly visit Orlean again and if for nothing else, to have a meal here. First class. Best meal we had on this holiday. The restaurant building itself is not outstanding but the food and service is.

Rated as the top restaurant in Orleans by Trip Advisor, it would be hard to argue after a most enjoyable lunch during our mid-October visit. The staff doesnât speak much English â there is an entertainingly translated English menu - but were nevertheless very helpful and attentive. The food was delicious: Dana had the monkfish with lemon emulsion and I had the âcute roastedâ pork and âcremated canterelles.â We shared a wonderful dessert, called âThe Strawberryâ with creamy white chocolate. Lots of locals dinning confirm this is clearly the first choice place to dine in Orleans.

This is a typical French restaurant characterized by the tasty, homemade cooking and a fine selection of mature cheeses from different regions. Chez Dionysos prides itself in using only fresh products and offering the great options for wine by the glass.
I know that the high temperature (34 C) was unusual for Orleans, but the lunch suffered this issue. Table was outside on the walkside under a small tent. The host was kind. Fois gras was good, the raw meat was very good. Coffee dessert was curious, but not great.

At 119 euros our meal wasn't inexpensive, but is was well cooked, tasty and service from the staff was excellent. The degustation menu included canapés, cold cucumber soup, langoustine in a great sauce (or foie gras), turbot on red cabbage in red wine, goose for the main course with potatoes and French beans, cheese from a varied selection and desert using four different fruits prepared in a variety of ways. The wine list is extensive and potentially expensive. The restaurant is attractively decorated, linen tablecloths, fresh flowers.A very pleasant meal.

We luckily got into this restaurant at short notice. I'd have to say it's is one of the best restaurant experiences we've had whilst in France. The couple who run it are passionate about their wine and food. We don't speak French and the wonderful lady who is in charge of the floor carefully and meticulously explained each dish in English. My mouth was literally watering at the descriptions. The waiter was also super friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding and they have a fantastic range of delicious wines by the glass (they keep the bottles in special machines to keep the open bottles airtight and at the perfect temperature) They suggested the perfect wines to match our dishes and each one was spot on. Overall the price was very reasonable considering the outstanding quality. The service was friendly and professional without being overbearing. The food was amazing. Don't miss this and you should reserve ahead to ensure a spot.
