This is a lovely restaurant in a lovely place. Very pleasant welcoming people. The food is really good, it isn't cheap but it is good value for the standard offered. We had starters of goat's cheese and oeuf cocotte with foie gras (really nice). Main courses of merlu and pork and desserts of pavlova and pain perdu (a sort of bread and butter pudding). Many restaurants in this area offer local cuisine which can be good but this restaurant offers more. We have been before and will go again.

Excellent dinner. The menu of the evening selection was veal or pork and both were very good. One of our party was a vegetarian and the restaurant has a feature that you let the chef feed you from his/her available fresh veggies. She enjoyed the meal and the presentation.

Nous sommes un restaurant de village disposant du seul titre d'état qui reconnais la cuisine de cuisinier à savoir celui de "Maître restaurateur", à vocation convivial. Nous faisons une cuisine 100% maison à partir de produits bruts, frais et en majorités
Right in the village centre, this restaurant has been newly restored from what previously was an old epercie. It has covered outside tables and smart interior as well as an open kitchen. The menu is short and modern, but using local quality, fresh ingredients. At lunchtimes weekdays there is the option of a 'menu de jour' which can be taken as 1 , 2 or 3 courses (9-14.50â¬) plus the regular menu or the large plat de tapas for 16⬠which would feed 2 for lunch, or 4 or 5 as a snack. In the evenings and weekends it's there is a formule of copious mixed tapas (hot and cold) as a starter, any main course and any dessert at 26â¬, or you can just choose a single plate from the menu- mains from 15-20â¬- although most diners seem to opt for the 3 courses, just go hungry)When we dined our mains were fillet of local truit, a huge steak, and a trio of skewers of duck, kidney and steak, all of which were really very good. The owner specialises in desserts and so there is a great selection. Drinks wise it offers cocktails, all the usual suspects, plus a good range of bottled beers and an interesting selection of reasonably priced wines. Unusally most of the wine is available by the glass which is great. Service is very curteous and friendly. Booking is advisable as it is not very large.

Amazing friendly service. Very welcoming for a group of 8 with two infants. Not sure the other guests were even though well behaved. We all had two courses plus the dessert. Flavours incredible, beautifully presented. Thank you so much! Definitely recommend. Best meal of our stay. Recommend booking to reserve a table outside.

all the reviews are true... authentic, eccentric but totally good value for 11 euros. You wont be hungry after. Very no frills, and no choice (except main course which was either chickn, pork or steak). We had: homemade vegetable soup, sausage and beetroot, chicken/frites, choice of ice creams/flans, bottle of wine (Rose very good)... coffee not great but this is food for pilgrims and not really tourists. Go before it gets sold or closes.

This cafe used to serve brilliant food and plenty to eat. Lately though it has not been as good especially if served as a small group. The menu is repettative and lacks the authenticity of local food served previously. Local work people eat here ( always a good sign) but perhaps they run out of the advertised menu quickly.

They do a day menu at 13⬠at lunchtime as well as offering their steak menu at 19⬠and an ala carte also at lunchtime so you can be sure to find something you like. The day menu has choice and usually there is a choice of accompaniment. Only dish which really disappointed was my friends a la carte scallop dish. In winter they have small nice restaurant on left, or you can eat in the bar or back room ( not very nice). IN good weather they have tables outside. They serve quite long hours

Enjoyed an excellent lunch on the terrace of this very French restaurant. The food was local, tasty and exceptional value. The experience was slightly marred by an unhelpful young waitress who was obviously having a bad day - as time passed she did brighten up. Couldnât fault the food or local wine. The place has character and definitely worth another visit.

Auberge Claverie has a fine local reputation and well deserved. Our lunch with friends in a packed restaurant was quite memorable. This is a welcoming family type good French countryside establishment. The staff handled the crowd with aplomb and the kitchen certainly produced the goods. All reasonably priced Whilst not haute cuisine it was thoroughly enjoyable and is highly recommended.

This restaurant is suppose to be very fancy, but no air con in Summer. The food wasn't that good, but I must confess that the desert was delicious.I ordered samon. It was ok, but the potatoes were raw. Small quantitiy. The desert was too big, but really delicious. It has wifi, ask the staff.Staff is nice and the restaurant is spacious. In overall I think this restaurant is very expensive for their service.
