We were served a glass of their own pink fizz as an aperitif while sat outside this charming, secluded chateau. After, we moved into a beautiful salon where we ate like kings on dishes including fois gras, lobster, scallops, lamb. All washed down with a bottle of their own Sauvignon. Total cost less than 100â¬. An amazing experience and amazing value for money. Make the detour and go there!

We really enjoyed our dinner at Table du Roy, everything was very good from start to end. Our waitress was extremely professional. We would recommend the "Abricot" dessert which was truly delicious

We went to les truffeaux for dinner last July.Service was slow and food really average. My husband asked for a millefeuille with goat cheese, it was just some courgettes stuffed with a cream cheese, certainly not from goatI had a steack, the meat was tender but coldThe tiramisu was full of caramel and really too sweetThe setting is nice but having a drink there would be enough

It was a hot hot hot day. Walking through the town we looked down an alley and discovered Le Procopio. We were heading for the creperie but the need for shade was too urgent. So we stopped here instead. The kids enjoyed their pizza and their burger (with excellent frites), and the adults tucked into beautifully presented and extremely tasty crepes and salads. The house wine wasn't bad either. We ate outside which was more charming an environment than the inside.

About 18 of us Brits met up there having arrived for the 4L International meeting at nearby Thenay. A great long table, efficient and friendly service from the attractive young waitresses and the food was very good, in fact far too much salad and chips for me. Even so others in our group managed a desert too. We each paid separately, usual by credit card, and the boss was super efficient. I went back the following evening along but this time asked for far fewer chips. They ignored me and I still got tons. I really enjoyed the tented restaurant, sat beside the River Cher, watching the setting son. Ah!

We decided this the best choce in the leafy central square, which had lots of options. We were right. Lots of choice, yet not too much, which always suggests pre- frozen food. But we could choose from several fish dishes, as well as a selection of meat. everything was nicely cooked. The service was friendly and relaxed - the restaurant was busy on a Thursday evening and it felt as if locals were choosing it for their night out. The house wine was excellent and we felt able to wile away an evening and even had dessert and coffee. Well worth another visit.

Considering it's in the middle of Loire, I had higher expectations.WIne of the day, she said it was a bio right after opening the bottle....Selection of cheeses and salami so so.Service slow.Improvement possible at every level.

Called in on Sunday evening for a lighter meal (having eaten enough over the weekend as it was) and found the service to be quick and friendly. Restaurant itself is compact but clean and nicely decorated inside. Theres a small outside seating area too.Food is very good - good range of gallettes and crepes and all at sensible prices. Our crepes were both delicious, freshly and quickly prepared and service was great.Absolutely faultless!

I have been visiting Amboise for thé last 40 years. Not a lot changes there. So I was very surprises by this café/brewery. We took a plate with 4 small glasses for 8 euro. Unfortunately no explanation. So I can only Tell you it was not our kind of beer (Taste). Maybe it is best to developpe 1 good beer and then go off thé another. Also the cola and limonade was not our Taste. But we can encourage new things happening in AmboiseIt's true we are brand new and we are glad you found us! It sounds like you tried our flights or "dégustation" which includes our 4 signature beers; Chromatic Cream Ale, Abstract Amber Ale, Iridescent IPA, and Sepia Export Stout. I apologize for a lack of explanation in the moment, perhaps it was a busy time or an accidental oversight. None the less, these are American style craft beers brewed with local French ingredients. They are unique compared to other beers found in the area. We have received lots of positive feedback and we welcome people to get out there and try something new! All 4 of our recipes were developed with a lot of time and attention with multiple tastings and feedback from beer drinkers from an array of backgrounds. We are always eager to get more feedback. Please feel free to email us a more detailed account of your critiques of each individual beer in contrast with their beer style. As for the lemonade and cola we sell local products to support our local economy and realize that they are not always what everyone expects compared to more industrial mass-produced products. However, they are high quality and we feel like that's what counts. Thank you for your feedback!
