also in the magnificient setting of Meyrueis, the place is well located. However the food is less than average, the price is high for nothing special, but the service is absolutely atrocious, more than two hours for a menu du jour, it must be a record. If by chance you visit Meyueis go to another restaurant, there is plenty of them, much better am sure. avoid at all cost

An old fashioed hotel and restauramt, decorated to keep it that way, with an old fashioned and very couteous service. The menu contains may local specialities and local wines Our wine was only â¬14 and we thought it was very good. The fixed menus represented excellent value.

We ordered L'aven Gourmand's menu du jour, which costs 15 euro/person. The food is excellent, I recommend their chevre or feuillete de Roquefort as starters. The grilled beef, which I ordered as the main, just melted in my mouth, 'Fromage blanc' with sauce made of red berries worked beautifully as dessert, without being too heavy or sweet. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Jean François De MONTJOU, owner of the estate will be happy to receive you in the restaurant or on the terrace, on sunny days, for a meal with scents Cévenoles and Caussenardes. His wife, Hélène, declines compositions elaborated from the products of the s
This is an amazing setting, an old historic Chateau set in the hills just a few kilometres from the town. The menu is as diverse as it is delicious, trust the Chef, they have spent time putting their Menu together to ensure your taste buds are satisfied. We had the Gastronomic menu,I would never have chosen these dishes and they did not disappoint. Allow a good 3-4 hours for your meal and take time to walk around the gardens, plus nose around the inside of the Chateau which is in very traditional style, almost shabby chic. The wine list is also well chosen. It is however not a cheap meal but it's worth it. Just one tip, if your using maps on an apple device or the directions in Trip Advisor it will not get you there, my best directions would be as you enter the town from the south side you come to a T junction which you go left or right by the side of the river, turn right and stay on the south side of the river and the road will go straight on or left across the river, go straight on, there will be a small sign post amongst others with the Chateau's name on follow that for abut 2 or three kilometres up windy roads and you will arrive.

Très belle bâtisse, terrasse ombragée par un sycomore plus que bicentenaire. La carte est courte, gage de fraîcheur des produits. Le tartare d'agneau est excellent. Bon rapport qualité-prix.

On our way to Gorges du Tarn, we stopped in Meyrueis for lunch. Family restaurant is strategically located along the way. Seeing that many tables were occupied signaling that there must be something good here, we ventured inside and got a nice table in a quiet corner of the restaurant. We chose the Lozere menu (25 euro) and were not disappointed. Local cold cuts ... generous portion, lamb and dessert. Very filling. The staff were attentive and friendly. Free WiFi Itâs an unpretentious family restaurant ...just like the name. merci beaucoupL'équipe du FAMILY

Renovated with love, this family run hotel has a spirit of cordiality that can be found in the restaurant. Daniel Lagrange offers you a cuisine of sincerity to make you discover in its own way the rich nature and the freshness of the local Cévenol product
I chose the menu gourmand, starting with pan-fried foie gras, then turbot with a truffled sauce, followed by a perfectly cooked rack of lamb with local herb flavours. Finally a good cheese board, but I did not take up the offer of dessert, though they looked as delicious as the rest of the meal. The restaurant was full, but service was expertly managed and the cliche "well oiled machine" comes to mind. Good to find good local wines in 50cl bottles suitable for a solo diner. When I left the hotel next morning I complimented Madame on the quality of the meal and was promptly invited into the kitchen to thank the chef in person, a very nice touch.
