Casual place, under the trees, by the river, organic independent soft drinks, something ha but different to the usual. Also what seemed to be an independent beer too. Relaxing and we happened to be there during a festival so had music as well as lively views of the Loire.

Beautiful service, delicious food and excellent wine.This is the sort of place that France built its culinary reputation on. A small family team offering top quality food, ambitiously presented, with professional service. This is a restaurant that makes you feel special because they put so much love and care into what they do. This is what dining out should be.

We stopped here halfway on our cycle ride. This was a charming restaurant, with an extremely friendly service. The food was excellent and great value. I can recommend the jambon, egg and Roquefort salad, which my wife and daughter thoroughly enjoyed. I had the moulds mariniere with frites, again excellent. I recommend this place for sure :)

First stayed here ten years ago when the rooms were very simple but compensated for by magnificent setting and excellent restaurant. Rooms now renovated and first class also. A magnificent spot to explore the Loire valley from, as an overnight stop to the Pyrenees or for a gourmet weekend.

If you are heading towards or returning from the Loire valley visiting castles and/or touring vineyards do yourself a favor and stop by "Au Clos des Vignes" for lunch or dinner near Orléans. Very high quality dishes made to order using fresh local products, very friendly owners and all this for a price that is very very reasonable. So do not hesitate, get off the motorway, take the short detour to Baule and enjoy a moment of happiness to discover this gem. You will not regret it.

Le Carrousel is the restaurant of West Bestern Hotel, in the surroundings of Meung-sur-Loire, a little town in Loire Region, in France. The restaurant is very modern and it is possible to eat a daily menu (August-2018). I ate gambes tartare as first dish and micuit salmon as main dish. Also I drank 2 glasses of white wine of Bourgogne. All was very good. Also my daughter (almost 3 years old at this moment) ate pommes frites and a piece of my salmon. Very good place

There are not many places to eat in Meung, so little competition, but this place was very good. It is down a tiny alleyway, but is signposted from the main road. It has a whole first floor dedicated as a play space for kids, including a couple of potties to avoid little accidents! The toilets are immaculately clean. The food is (I suppose obviously as it is a creperie) freshly prepared and wholesome. It is good quality at reasonable prices with a wide choice of galettes and crepes. On the day we ate there, they were unable to accept credit cards, but the lady did point this out before we sat down, so no problem for us.

On our bike ride from Orleans to Beaugency, we decided to stop in Meung-sur-Loire at this little cafe for lunch. What a gem! Very reasonably priced, tasty home style meals and delicious desserts. The savoury tart slice with jambon, & aubergine was delicious. The Plate of a selection of French cheeses to share was divine, served with crusty baguette. We followed this with the gateau chocolat and the nougat glacé which were equally delicious. The service was cheerful and friendly as well. Recommend!

The entrees were good, carpaccio de boeuf particularly. Cheval steak wasnt good at all unofortunately. They could do better.

The previous evening had been a shocker so it was with some trepidation that we booked a restaurant in the same town. I am glad to say that this establishment had everything the previous restaurant did not have. Host were perfect, food was wonderful, service prompt and atmosphere marvellous.,Thank you sir for you time and your review. We are very happy to hear that you had a great experience in our restaurant. We hope to see you soon again if you are back in Meung-sur Loire.
