The St Eloi is at the top of the village, near the church and reached by a pleasant road winding up the hillside from the motorway, with developing views over the valley of the Slack. The Estaminet is bright and modern inside and offers an interesting array of dishes (see website â but not the link at the top of this page â which doesnât work. Go here instead: http://www.estaminetlesainteloi.fr/). We stopped for lunch in November and had two very generous portions of tasty and nicely cooked Carbonnade Flamande. Service was pleasant and efficient, and we would certainly return for a more substantial meal. There is plenty of outside seating and it would be a very pleasant spot to eat alfresco in the summer.

Le Green Bistro is a small, but charming restaurant, with a lovely interior and an open kitchen. The waiter was really charming and very helpful in explaining the menu.We started our meal with a glass of truly marvellous prosecco and an appetizer made with lentils, quite original. Value for money wise it is hard to beat this restaurant: for only 26 euro you can enjoy a starter, a main course and a dessert. I went for the mushroom soup (which had a very dense consistency) as a starter and the scallops (of course) as a main course. The soup was fine, but the scallops were absolutely fantastic. I ordered a glass of white wine with the scallops. I let the waiter recommend me something, but I have to say this white wine was a bit too sweet to my liking, although, to my surprise, it went perfectly with the scallops. My boyfriend tried some local beers. The crème brûlée with baileys was a great way to finish the meal.My only complaint is that it was too cold in the restaurant. Two degrees warmer and the evening would had been perfect.

Located next to the Sainte Chapelle Godeleine, the restaurant offers, in addition to a bar and creperie brewery service, quality food only with fresh products and local produce. The cuisine is modern and refined 100% homemade. Sandrine and Laurent welcome
Weâre old enough to remember a time when rural France was all about checked table cloths, basic menus and places that looked unremarkable on the outside but produced great food and ambiance on the inside. And this little café restaurant tucked away in the countryside between Calais and Boulogne delivers just that. Sadly they only appear to be open for meals on Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes. We visited when they had a big party in (factory workers reunion evidently). But it didnât affect the quality of service. No written menu â just 3 choices of starters and mains â my wife and I had delicious smoked salmon and then carbonade flamande. A ¾ litre carafe of very acceptable wine, a bottle of mineral water and a shared nougat glace (which was delightful) and the whole lot came to 40 euros. Madame la Patronne and her son were very chatty and attentive despite the place being really busy. Just a wonderful experience all round.

The restaurant is in 2 rooms in the main house. Bistro style & very informal, paper napkins, keep your cutlery from first course for the next one. There are various priced menus, the 17.50 euro was very good value & good eating too. Ham & mushroom vol-au-vent with little salad. Salad of two hams with dried tomato, croutons, parmesan, well dressed & good leaves. Confit duck leg, with rice & veg as guest did not want the normal frites. Beautifully cooked piece of halibut fillet, with the same rice & veg (a very good medley of 6 or 7 chopped veg in a neat mound) & lemon beurre blanc in little jug. Ice cream filled profiteroles with chocolate sauce - 5 of them - made a pleasant end to a quite large & satisfying meal. House cocktail inexpensive, rum based, & much liked. Service not the swiftest but friendly. English language menu available.Enjoy a short walk round the (not extensive) grounds with a pen of geese, nice little chapel-style folly, trees & grass.

This place is not necessarily one that would catch your eyes, but we found it through Tripadvisor and tried it. The staff is very welcoming, attends to your needs, very attentive without excess. The menu is typical Italian. You can chose between several menu options, for a very reasonable price: around 15-20 euros per person wine included. The tagliatelle are very good, the desserts also. I recommend. I would suggest less cream in the pasta in the future and one menu including a starter and a main instead of a main and a dessert.

Typical French village restaurant run by husband and wife team who were attentive throughout our meal without being overbearing. Wholesome simple menu with salads, steaks, omelettes, and on the evening we were there, 3 plats du jour. Very good value for money. We would go back there with no hesitation.

From the outside the restaurant reminded us of an american style family dinning in a strip mall. That said the menu is greatly diverse and we had very tasty appetizers, super main and delicious desert. Fairly priced and nice people. Donât worry they also have an English language menu :-). 5 minutes of A16 to Calais, Will be back in the future.Hi,Thank you for your visit and thank you for your review on TripAdvisor ! Found this place in a panic on discovering the restaurant we intended to have our last lunch in France was closed. And it was a joy. A small place with a jolly patron-cum-chef, serving delightful food from a short locally sourced menu at equally delicious prices. The starter was a hot goat cheese salad with a crostillant of filo pastry. Perfectly melted cheese, crisp pastry and a salad full of hidden delights like mustard cress, pine nuts and red currants. The main was slow cooked veal thigh in an intense broth/sauce topped with a plethora of wild mushrooms, accompanied by a corgette gratin and wonderful chips. Probably the best dish I ate in France this trip. I washed it down with rose de provence and Cote De Bourg at 6-8 euros a pichet and coffee came with a complementary brownie and digestif. At 50 Euros for two - it was a bargain. So if you fancy one last meal in France just 30 mins from the ferry/Eurotunnel, this is the place.,
