We really enjoyed lunch at the Bistrot le Republique. The welcome was exceptionally friendly and the food great. The langoustines stood out but everything was decent including a very nice local red. And at under 50 euros for two people, three courses, wine and coffee, what can you say? While it very French (pretty much all the clientele were local) the waitress was happy to translate. And there was no sense that as a tourist you were any less welcome than the locals. The place was full by 1230 so get their early and enjoy!

The cheese room has 78 different cheeses and you are whisked off mid meal to make your choice. Decisions, decisions. Nimes is a lucky place having 3 great Michelin starred restaurants and Jerome Nutile does not disappoint. It has beautiful gardens with the tables set far from each other (which can be a little isolating). The highlights of the meal here were the veal, cheese and desert. At Skab the highlights were the fish, bread and wine list. So, if you can only manage one restaurant this may help. Personally, Iâd save up and go to both

We were delighted with our experience at Le Menestrel, we managed to communicate with the owner as our French was basically Thank you yes and no and goodbye lol!We were treated to a comfortable table with a good view of other guest entering, some of which seemed local and on good terms with our host. She suggested a starter which we later found out was so new we were the 'guinea pigs' but it was superb. My main meal was fish which was with butternut and was absolutely delish! Well worth a visit but I advise you to book!

La cuisine est très bonne, généreuse. Tous les jours un nouveau menu (2 entrées / 2 plats : une viande / un poisson / 2 desserts) et la carte avec de belles salades et des pizzas excellentes. Le service est efficace et la note douce. Ouvert à midi et le soir. Grand parking.

Spent a lovely evening in this excellent restaurant, enjoying wonderful food.The chef served each course and was happy to discuss his food and your thoughts on it.This is not an expensive restaurant since the chef just has a love for cooking.Thank you Luc for a memorable evening.

Arriving at L'Olivado on the last night of our holiday in Provence, we were a little taken aback by the location - in a row of businesses in a slip road off a busy road. However, the owners were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was good with large portions. We had the menu for 18 euros, which we thought was good value.

Le lieu est mal indiqué par Waze et Maps. Erreur de 200m. L'endroit dans une zone commerciale est peu attirant mais on s'y gare facilement. Ouvert uniquement le midi. L'accueil est sympathique. La cuisine de type familiale est faite sur place. Carte simple, 4 entrées, 4 plats, viandes et riz, ratatouille... trop cuite, 4 desserts.Nous etions un groupe de 12. Service efficace.Entrée, plat, dessert, café vin en pichet pour 22â¬/personne.

We waited for 1 hour for a few tapas and the restaurant was empty. Quality of the food is ok serving time was not reasonable.
