We have loved this restaurant; the food, the service, and the ambiance have always been more than deserving of their high accolades. Today, however, we encountered service unparalleled. When my purse fell into the Sorgue River and was on its way out to sea, lovely Natalie, the sommelier, kicked off her shoes, climbed over the rail and swam to rescue my bag. Her chic black outfit and beautiful red braid were dripping wet when she returned but she only had a smile and gracious words. This is the kind of service and employee that deserves the highest of praise, and is exemplary of the attitude of the entire staff. We look forward to returning for more wonderful meals!Thank you so much for your kind and warm coments, I hope that no one else will take the idea from reading your review to test Natalie's or the rest of the team swimming abilities :-) Our warmest regards, we will remember you for sure and look forward to welcoming you back at Le Vivier

This is on the road up to the source of the river on the left. We had dinner there on our way back - delicious kebab, cold beers, fantastic view of the river and gorge looking up to the castle. Perfect. Very hospitable people and great value. Highly recommended.

We sat on the outdoor patio and were served with humor, graciousness, and friendliness. The menu had many fixed priced options starting at 28 euros. It was a very good deal. The dishes were as good as we've gotten anywhere, except maybe in our favorite restaurant, Les Santons in Grimaud. The host at Au Chant des Sorgues made the reservation for us and I think it resulted in our getting the best table on the patio!

This place is just what the village needs, they are not trying to match what others do and they have found the perfect niche. Not pretentious, informal, great service and quality food well presented.

We had lunch here one December day, when most other resaturants in the village were closed. Petrarque and Laure was quite busy. My Gambas were not the freshest, and were overcooked, definitely a poor choice. My wife's chicken plat du jour was OK. Dessets of one chocolate fondant and one Dame Blanche were again, average. So all in all, a safe stop if all you want is a meal to stem the hunger, but don't expect one of those wonderful Provencal lunches this area is famed for.

Great local near to the river. We had a lunch in a beautiful sunny clear day. The fish and seafood was fantastic. Really a typical nice meal in France and of course with a special rose wine.

This restaurant, on the main plaza of Fontaine de Vaucluse, was formerly La Colonne. We enjoyed a lovely dinner there on a balcony overlooking the plaza. Great food and service. We highly recommend it.
This restaurant stood out above the others in the village, not just because it didnât seem as âtouristyâ, but as it has a nice balcony overlooking the square - Iâd suggest booking for a balcony table. The food was very good (set menu) and the owners were friendly, one chose the wine both nights and it was not overpriced. Just really nice.
