I have reviewed this restaurant a few years ago but sometimes restaurants change and so do standards. I just had to review again! This restaurant's standards are still consistently high. (We visited three times in two weeks on this holiday) The food is excellent - delicious and exciting. Everyone is welcoming and helpful explaining the french food to us when our french wasn't up to it. The desserts are delicious!

Really great tapas restaurant......make sure you book, it is incredibly popular and no wonder, the food is delicious, very quick service, lovely staff and good value. We had about 9 different dishes, beers, kids drinks, 2 desserts and only 70euros. Good atmosphere too.

Restaurant De Cuisine Médiévale (capacité 45 Personnes Maximum) Et 5 Chambres D'hôtes à La Décoration D'inspiration Médiévale (12 Personnes Maximum)
As it was very very hot (39 °) we didn't dress up. Still you are emerged into the atmosphere. Very friendly service. Nice copious meal. Loved my apple pie. You eat and drink as people used to do. Nice experience in this lovely town. By the way : early july very few tourists in the evening.

We had come to Gaillac for the first time to visit the festival des lanternes and were looking for somewhere to eat. It was a Saturday evening and we hadn't booked so we're delighted to find a table for two available immediately. The service was efficient and cheerful. Our food arrived promptly despite how busy the restaurant was. The staff kept their smiles as they welcomed ever increasing numbers of tourists looking for a meal. We were impressed at their unceasing good will and hard work. A lovely end to our day.

Previous revies are very accurate. This is a lovely place. Unprententious, friendly hosts, and sound food - and some particularly nice homegrown vegetables. This is a good French style cafe restaurant - of which there used to be so many - and it is the kind of place that you will be happy to go to time and time again.merci de votre visite et bonne route

Near Cordes-sur-Ciel, Albi & Gaillac, 'Lou Cantoun' the restaurant of le chef Bernard Gisquet is located in the medieval village of Cestayrols. Here you eat season products from the neighborhood and the garden of Bernard. Fresh, tasty, delicate, his cooki
A difficult restaurant to fairly review as when dining we were one of only two couples present and hence the ambiance was a little shallow and awkward.Importantly service was first class and befitting of the venues standing. The meal comprised of an amuse bouche , entree, mains and desert. For us the entree was a tad adventurous and not a successful mix of pineapple and cheese but interesting. The duck was lacking a genuine orange sauce however the vegetables were fresh and delicious. The deserts were excellent. We drank a local house wine which was impressive and well priced. The meal for two was around â¬85 and undoubtedly good value.

Je souhaite que mon établissement n'apparaisse plus sur votre site. Bien cordialement. Jean Michel HORTAL propriétaire de la Bonne Auberge.
La Bonne Auberge is a small restaurant only serving at lunchtimes. The menu is typically French and the food is simple, but well cooked. We ate there on a Sunday when the place was well frequented by both locals and visitors.

Beginning July was the best time to camp there. Very peaceful camping site, tennis court, Swimming pool, very smart lightning concept on sanitaries (plus tidiness), and its geografical situation to visit Gaillac's wineyards and a couple of the in the latest years as most beloved awarded French villages (Cordes sur Ciel, Puycelsi, Castelnau de Montmiral...) makes the place ideal to visit around (even Toulouse, Albi...) I'll try to find an excuse to repeat there.

The spirit of Salettes is also to be found in the plates. The cooking enhances the local and traditional products, of high quality, while being resolutely modern.
The staff leave a little to be desired, the food is good this time, though choice is limited and its not a patch on the quality of our last visit. Its still very expensive. The open fire in the living room was lovely but we had to light it ourselves. It still just misses this place, some modern style some old style which works well in the living room but elsewhere just misses.Dear Mr or Mrs, Thank you for your remark on our hotel.Iâm sorry you thought âstaff leave a littleâ, because we are paying a great attention to serve our clients. Be sure that from your message we pay more attention.Fire place is not lighted every time, but you just have to tell you would like to see it lightened and we do so. On the point of modern and old style in the hotel and the restaurant, even if that point is very subjective, in some part of the building that was easiest to have both style side by side than in others. In the restaurant, stone is the old style. In hotel rooms, some have more stones than others, but everywhere itâs an old building (13th century) with some modern layout. Looking at the building from now, we could forget that 20 years ago it was just remaining old stones with trees growing through ruins of an old castleâ¦

For more than ï¬fteen years, we have enjoyed Hostellerie du Parc, which has been reinvented as au Jardin des Saveurs. We were there on a quiet day and were given a very friendly welcome and excellent service by la patronne herself. The cooking was very good, though much different from the ancien régime; with some novel touches.âRis de veau aux morilles was more delicate, less dark and rich, than the encien regime's version, in a more contemporary portion size.âSubjectively, I would say that Pascalâs main courses are very professional and textbook, while his puddings are more from the heart: the opposite way round from his predecessor.âMy wife had a delicate ï¬lo parcel of ï¬gs and grapes, while I chose trufï¬n à la griotte sur sa dacquoise, delightful and indulgent.âWe understand that they are renovating the place themselves while keeping it openâa mammoth undertakingâand we wish them the success that they clearly deserve.
