Convenient club house restaurant that is low priced. Menu is slightly restricted. Service was friendly but not always punctual. Food quality good for the level of cooking provided.

After pulling our boat up to the Vianne "harbor" on Baize River, it is a nice stroll up to the main gate of this Bastide city. Then you will naturally wend your way past residences and shops to the central Aquarius. Cafe Marronniers is a bistro which in good weather, has staked out a corner of the square with colorfully decorated tables and bright umbrellas. Locals Buzet wine, especially the rose', is delicious with a seafood salad, and about 5⬠a bottle. 6 of us all had salads. Several seafood varieties. Cheerful service, and prompt. Bottle wine plus entree plus cafe/tea about 40⬠per couple.

Needs searching if you're in old town Nerac, as it's on the main road to the west of the town centre, but worth the short walk. They have several dining rooms, so capacity not a problem at lunch time when we arrived. Thankfully it brightened up a dank morning and set us up for the afternoon. The entrance dining room had a good smattering of workmen - always a good sign we reckon - enjoying the traditional extended french lunch break, and why not when the lunch is this good?We had a salmon salad starter, followed by pork and lentils (much tastier than it might sound), my partner had the fish main course - excellent. Junior had chicken 'nuggets' with tagliatelle, again, good value.

We took advantage of the landing spot, after a long morning of cruising on the river Baise and walked up to the auberge which houses the restaurant. We were greeted warmly and sat inside as it was still deciding whether to rain again. The menu was offered a range of interesting item and we choose to start with the Fish Soup and the Duck Gizzards salad. The salad was a first for me and was appetising and well seasoned. The soup was good and hearty with good accompaniments of croutons, rouille and cheese. My lamb chops main course was very tasty with Pyrenees lamb being amongst the nicest I have had. My wife's fish was good as well.We had nice Deserts as well. This is a very authentic and rustic restaurant preparing very tasty food and well worth a visit. Prices were reasonable as well

I first reviewed this restaurant back in April and am really pleased to have been back several times since. Christophe is a real star (and, although he speaks good English, he's happy to allow me to try my French) and he and Christel run a first rate establishment. We told him earlier in the year that we'd be back in September and when we walked in he said that he'd been looking out for us! The food is rustic and hearty and spot on. Service is just fantastic and the locals really friendly. We've now sat inside on the ground and first floors and on the outside terrace and have enjoyed ourselves wherever. If you're ever near Lavardac and want to visit a proper, unpretentious French restaurant then this is the place!

We were recommended by hotel Henry VI and so pleased they did. The menu is short, but all local. The food is amazing, beautifully cooked and seasoned to perfection. Our experience was made even better by the lovely waitress who was helpful and friendly. Would love to dine here again.

Friendly restaurant with great value Menu du Jour.Food was well prepared and the waitress very friendly and helpful. The salade de la mer was wonderful with crispy fish, fresh smoked salmon and croutons. The mains meals were large portions. The crispy salmon fried with pesto and garlic was very tasty and filling. We found the portions were more than sufficient and skipped the dessert.House wine was available by the glass and adequate. The quiet town has an interesting history and its worth a walk around before or after a lunch at L'Atypik.
