We went to Yvoire on a day trip from Geneva. We arrived with a few hundred passengers and Yvoire was already very busy. We hadn't made reservations but a table for 2 was found for us in the corner of the garden. I was a little concerned that we may be forgotten as there was a large party of about 20 sat at 4 tables near us. I shouldn't have worried. The service was excellent. We opted for the set fish menu at e28 pp, a delicious salmon terrine to start, Le filet à la Crème dâEchalote for a main with finely chopped vegetables and black rice and ice cream for pudding. A lovely relaxed dining experience in busy but beautiful surroundings

The Passe Franc is a restaurant of traditional French food.
This is a new restaurant with an excellent location overlooking the port and Lac Geneva - one of the few restaurants in Yvoire to remain open over the winter months. We have eaten here twice and on both occasions experienced especially friendly service and a tasty and generous serving of perches frites. They were also very accommodating on the occasion we visited with a small baby. The upstairs dining room is very pleasant but we will also look forward to summer since the elevated terrace has magnificent views over the lake. I hope this new venture is successful.

A really warm welcome back to Yvoire on 23 December 2017. My young son loves this restaurant and all the fish dishes presented beautifully with a personal touch. Excellent ice cream deserts too. We visited in May, August and October too when there are warm lamps on the terrace for enjoyable dining outside. The pedestrian-only village has all year round charm and can be accessed by ferry from Nyon on the Swiss side of the Lac Leman or easily by car.

The restaurant is facing the lake, really nice during day time. In the evening the atmosphere is quiet and we can still enjoy to be closed by the lake. The restaurant specialty is the Perche from the lake with lemon cream, salad and French fries. The dish is around 30 euros and worth to try ! Quantity is more than enough and the taste is really nice. The staff is Professional and friendly.

Luckily we had reserved a table in advance. As discussed at the reservation we decided to sit on the terrace and if the weather was not as nice we would be seated inside. When we arrived, the terrace was too cold as in the shade, which is not astounding in the centre of this little, and beautiful city of Yvoire. So the waiter had prepared a wonderful table right at the window with view on the passing street. My daughter and I ordered the menu which started off with a âfoie grasâ, continued with a nice steak âboeuf charolaisâ and ended with a âmoelleux au chocolatâ. My wife had as a starter the âpetite friture de joëlsâ â little grilled fish with head and tail â extremely delicious, and apparently one of the main plates in the restaurant, as we saw many clients order this only. Her main dish was a nice âtartare de boeufâ. My daughter and I wanted to have our steak rare, hers arrived medium-rare and my was basically well-done, which I claimed. It got replaced by a second effort which came to be medium-rare as well â a bit astonished, as the regional people mostly eat their steak rare. Anyhow, it was a nice steak after all. As my wife is a little eater I had the opportunity to try her tartare â it was very nicely seasoned, though I personally would have preferred to have the meat cut just a little smaller. Our little chocolate cake was an almost perfect finish to our meal. All in all, we have been very pleased with the restaurant, the food and the service. But, if you go there, plan to take a lot of time with you. We have been there for 3 hours. If you have to take a boat you will quickly get under time pressure and then, I guess, things can get nasty. But if you have time, it is definitely a place to go.

This restaurant is small and it seemed busy even when we arrived unplanned to this small romantic town. Without having a huge experience with French cuisine, the atmosphere seemed very authentic with passionate servants and excellent food. I had a entrecote and my friend had fish - both of the dishes were prepared to excellence and the wine was also perfectly matched. I can highly recommend this place.

We have spent the best part of a week in Yvoire trying different places every night. This was the best ahead of those with better reviews. The building is a light, modern wooden structure with good furniture. Others have a view but this is a commanding panorama of the harbour and lake. It lies a few yards outside the town gate and is apart from the tourist crowd. Our food showed imagination lacking in the perch and fries establishments. Home smoked lake fera fish was a fresh starter. We followed with delicious pink duck with a special potato accompaniment. The sea bass with palenta was my lighter choice. We followed with a splendid chocolate delice rather than grand marnier souffle. The establishment was quiet on Tuesday evening but the service was attentive and friendly. The town has numerous of places with similar menus and quality. This we found to be the best.

We spent a night at this hotel/restaurant. The hotel first: very clean, nice rooms, large bathroom (shower), nicely decorated. Large indoor pool with jacuzzi, hamam, sauna - all in the price of the room. Their "site" does not do them credit, it's much nicer! Restaurant: we ate their twice. Food, very good, service excellent. Breakfast, I found the choice somewhat limited. All this being said, I would certainly stay there again.

Possibly it's a bit unfair to comment on atmosphere, for Yvoire was surprisingly quiet in the evenings despite it being Easter week. As a result most restaurants weren't open. I had the local lake perch speciality - nothing very remarkable about it. I guess when the bill comes to â¬89 for two (including a bottle of pretty ordinary local wine) you expect something a bit more than something that would be well described as "OK, but nothing special"merci d'avoir laissé votre commentaire.Nous serons heureux de vous accueillir de nouveau bientôt.

We had an absolutely prefect lunch on the terrace panoramique. The view on the lake was gorgeous, the service super friendly and the food excellent. Every plate was beautifully dressed and a perfect composition of different tastes. We enjoyed a lovely bottle of wine with our meal and loved every drop of it. Great experience, highly recommended!
