The table of the Knight: Gourmet restaurant , fine cuisine that showcases local products. The bistro pool refreshing summer cooking and generous
We selected this restaurant from tripadvisor as it "looked" like an elegant place to celebrate our French trip. It looks great from the pictures and it does have a beautiful, elegant dining room. But the food is awful; the service is terrible. After a month long vacation in France, the only restaurant where I question if this was an anti-American atttitude. My husband and I had a long standing reservation at the Fleunie Restauarnt. As typical many lower starred restaurants, upon our arrival they tried to give us the very worst table- right next to the entrance door and the hostess check in desk. After complaining, the matre'd gave us a nice table. But the food was so bad. First, the asparagus appetizer had two cold asparagus cut up with an awful sauce. I think the price was 35 euros for these two asparagus. Then we had seabream fish that actually tasted like it came from a sewer. Avoid this "pretty chateau" restaurant!

We ate there with my small tour group for dinner. We started of with there different kinds of amuse bouches. My main course was scallops on a bed risotto surrounded by lemon foam. It was a amazing presentation. My wife had the lamb with sweet potato puree and mushrooms. This was also excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant. The surroundings are also beautiful.

What a brilliant place! The food provided by Alain was nothing less than superb! The foie gras and fig jam starter - just amazing. We ate there 3 nights running - every time superb. Only complaint was we were so full we didn't need to eat until late the following day!Service was brilliant by two lovely ladies and Nicole, Alain's wife was such good fun! You will not go wrong eating here - Leffe beer on draught was great.Cannot wait to return!

La Table de Jean is a charming little restaurant in the village of Coly right in the centre of Périgord Noir near Sarlat, Terrasson and Montignac-Lascaux. La Table de Jean offers a traditional bistro ambiance and is the perfect venue for all occasions at
Try the menu du jour - 4 courses and wine for 13 euros. Simple, delicious homemade food that is very very tasty. The waiter, visiting from La Rochelle, was great fun and played swords and dragons with my daughter. An absolute gem.

As others have stated there are two restaurants with the same name, owned by the same people. We went to the out of town one. This is the fancier of the two and I would describe it as a special occasion (maybe weddings), sort of establishment.I had the warm foie gras, starter, followed by Tournedos Rossini, cheese and tarte tatin. Everything was ok, and therein lies the problem. On this holiday I ate better foie gras and better fillet steak at other restaurants, at much lower prices. There was nothing particularly wrong with Au Jardin D'o. It was just that the setting and the surroundings, not to mention the menu, promised far more than they delivered.

Had tried to get into 2 other restaurants - one fully booked the other closed for the night. Was driving out of town when we saw this placed. We went in on a whim. What a fantastic choice. Great setting with a lovely terrace to the rear. Highly friendly staff, super menu and beautifully cooked food. Everything was fresh and so well presented. I had a lovely pork medallion dish and my partner had chicken. Both superb. My shrimp starter was also excellent and quite unexpected as it was served hot. The service was first class and the bill was surprisingly cheap. Will certainly return before leaving this area of France. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.Hello,Tanks you so muchLa direction

This is a lovely restaurant with very good food and an excellent wine list. The service is friendly and not overpowering as in some restaurants. We have had a New Year menu in a local Michelin star restaurant previously and the lunch here today, easily was up to the mark even though it was a fixed menu. Every table was full today and the place had a lovely atmosphere, we have been in summer when it is not so busy but the food was good.

You must sit on the terrace and watch the sun set while you eat because the views are unbelievable. Great atmosphere. great service, friendly staff. I am a non-french speaker and they were really helpful. But far and away the best part of La Mandragore is the food!!! It is slightly different than what you would typically find in the region and the fusion of flavors was magical!

After touring Les Jardins de l'Imaginaire, which was wonderful, we strolled through this charming village and found this place right at the base of Englis Saint-Sour. Even though we arrived near 14:00 looking for lunch, and other cafes were closing for the afternoon, our host greeted us warmly and encouraged us to order anything we wanted. Our salads were beautifully presented, fresh and tasty, and the dessert sampler was to die for - all enjoyed on their sunny terrace at our leisure. Thank you, Martin, for the memorable visit! PS - The garlic soup was amazing - highly recommended!
