Our first night in Provence. This restaurant was just up the road from our accommodation so we thought we'd try it out. It was a Sunday evening and for most of the night we were the only people there..... Our waitress understood but didn't speak English so we had a lot of fun communicating in our poor French. She was a good sport! She recommended one of the local Provençal Rose wines to have with our meal and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Food-wise - our shared starter of Assiette des Tapas was simply outstanding and not a morsel left on the plate. The mains were substantial, well presented but just seemed a bit lacking in seasoning or flavouring. And the main our daughter chose off the kids' menu was basically just a beef patty and masses of French fries. Not a vegetable in sight...... Overall we had a really enjoyable night, let down only by the children's meal and slight lack of flavour in the mains. Otherwise - if you're in the Fuveau area I would certainly recommend it. But avoid the kids' menu.

Four of us had a Saturday lunch here in October on the way to Marseille airport, and it was wonderful. From the friendly service to the delicious cepes and entrecôte and potatoes cooked in the wood-burning oven to the fantastic wine (a Chateau Cremade Rouge), all was excellent. And yes, the patron/chef wore green high-top converse sneakers.Hello Abecedarius,A big thank you for your vote and your comment. We are delighted to read your satisfaction. We invite you to join us on Facebook or instagram @lamaisonduchateauSee you soon!La Maison du Château

We went to this small town and discovered Les Sarments. It has a beautiful setting outdoors. We felt relaxed and very pleased. The food ranged from terrific to just okay. But the ambiance, earnestness and friendliness more than made up for the food not being consistently outstanding.

Le Saffran is a delightful restaurant in the small village of Trets. Over the course of a week we actually ate here twice and both times were treated to well prepared and presented dishes. Our first visit was late on the night of the day we arrived from the U.S. and wanted something light and the menu had salads which fit the bill. We returned a few nights later and were once again treated to an excellent meal. The menu has a sufficient variety of entrees and the portions are generous. The waitresses are hardworking and helpful and dining outside was a treat. We highly recommend Le Safran if you in the area.

Halfway between a guest room and a boutique hotel , the Relais Saint -Ser , the original country house is a seventeenth century farmhouse, is a unique place nestled at the foot of the Sainte Victoire at an altitude of 450 meters, in a natural park , so de
A wonderful place to stop for lunch while exploring the beautiful countryside around Mt. Ste. Victoire. A traditional exterior opens into a Scandinavian-like interior. The lunch menu offered a good selection including traditional French dishes and more modern takes such as raw tuna salad. Everything was delicious, and the service excellent.

Our restaurant is located in an atypical and warm place in front of the Sainte Victoire mountain, in the heart of our mill and wine cellar. Our chefâs cooking is inventive and gastronomic with all the flavours of Provence : you will discover the products
Food very good value, service attentive.Terrace when it's too hot inside. Wine choice limited to the Winery production, but that makes it easier to choose, doesn't it ?Nothing to criticise really, there's also a shop to buy wine, olive oil from the property and other locla products (honey, what have you.)

Just off the motorway, but you'd never know it, quiet country style establishment. They have a great choice of meat & really know how to cook it. They grill indoors on a huge wood burning griddle & it can get very hot - fortunately there's a very pleasant terrace so you can eat alfresco.
