La Grande Salle brings you back in another time. A different and more modern experience awaits you in the plate. Some of the best products, worked by the chef with maturity and creativity, bring plenty of freshness and surprise in the plate. The wine list

This restaurant is in the centre of the small Gascogne village of Estang. It is actually a hotel and restaurant and there is a separate Trip Advisor page covering the hotel aspect. Estang is a vibrant Gascogne village and its most striking landmark is next door to the restaurant, an old (over a hundred years) rusty red bullring which plays host to the traditional local 'Course Landaise', a type of bull fighting in which participants taunt the cow and dodge it when it charges but unlike the Spanish version, the cow lives to perform on another day!. I was in the area on business and the person I was visiting suggested the Commerce for lunch as he had eaten there on many occasions. The restaurant is delightful, clean, fresh and bright with friendly staff and typically of provincial villages has a bar area where light snacks can be consumed with a coffee or something stronger and a slightly more up-market restaurant. We arrived without a prior reservation and the restaurant was already busy with tables of up to six talking and eating, many of whom were probably local businessmen. The only menu I saw was a small chalkboard listing the âPlats de jourâ. There was a choice of two starters, two mains and a dessert or cheese to finish.I chose the Thon mi-cuit, it was served cold covered with a poppy seed crust on a winter coleslaw, it was absolutely delicious and would not have been out of place in a fine dining restaurant. As a main I selected Lapin au moutard that was a quarter rabbit served with noodles, again, it was simple but the flavours were perfect. As a dessert, a slice of apple pie and all washed down with a carafe of local Rose.It was a truly memorable lunch served by friendly efficient staff. If I was to be in the area again, I would probably endeavour to stay in the hotel as well.

We had to drive for an hour but well worth it! Every course was filled with innovative flavors and beautifully presented and explained. All details were well thought out... the butterfly theme even on the magnet holding down our âlâadditionâ. We will highly recommend this place tucked away in the Gers country side. Thank you Fabien & Hélène for having the courage to start this bistro !

Le Sarment is the epitome of âordinaryâ French restaurants when they are âup to parâ: simple, extremely tasty cuisine using quality ingredients, served in a pleasant but not OTT setting (even if it means that outdoor tables are actually on the - admittedly not terribly busy - main road) with HIGHLY professional service (albeit not starched collars and white gloves). The côte à lâos special on the day we visited was simply delicious, pan fried and served with VERY garlicky pommes à lâhuile (potatoes in a pan with lots of oil which come out soft with just a touch of crispy).Merci pour votre commentaire .

We often visit this restaurant on our occasional visits to Auch. It is consistently good. The food is freshly cooked on the premises, and is very tasty. The menu at 14.50 euros comprises three courses, with a generous glass of wine included. The dessert selection is amazing - varied, home made, and there is a choice of one generous dessert, or four mini versions. The staff are efficient and the welcome is warm and friendly. The decor is fresh and original. Highly recommended. Booking may also be advisable, especially for lunch.

Our restaurant is located in a house of the 18th century; it has been built by French âcompagnonsâ on moat of the 13th century. The diner room itself is also of the 18th century, with antique fireplace and sculptures. Our cook tries to honor this historic
The Ravioles Foie Gras der Gers with sauce aux figs is sensational!! I highly recommend trying it!!The local Gers duck was well prepared, tender and high quality.Combine that with the lovely view over the square, friendly helpful service, nice decor and you have a winning lunch.Red and rose wines by the glass were very good. You can choose to sit on the balcony, providing an elevated view over the square.I would have lunch here again when next in Condom.

We were recommended by hotel Henry VI and so pleased they did. The menu is short, but all local. The food is amazing, beautifully cooked and seasoned to perfection. Our experience was made even better by the lovely waitress who was helpful and friendly. Would love to dine here again.

What a lovely surprise. Small restaurant, lovely decor, lovely staff and equally lovely food. Do they a very small menu, which they frequently change. It facilitates making choices and also I imagine it is much easier for the restaurant to ensure fresh food.Their produce is mostly bio, including their (delicious) wines. We had a shrimp salad to start with, followed by a rice and turkey dish, finished with a nougat ice cream. It all tasted really wholesome. When the bill came, we couldn't believe our eyes. 73 euros for four people! So including our tip it was 20 euros a head ! A fantastic bonus: even though the portions were plenty for me, I had not put on a gram of weight the next day and that is a first after going to a restaurant ! Chef and staff: well done ! Keep it up, as we will be back.

Lunch untill 3 p.m. at democratic prices. In rhe afternoon you can enjoy ice cream, waffels or pancakes on the terrace.
As we are not seasoned âfrenchâ travellers we were delighted to find this bistro open and selling food after 12! Peter greeted us with open arms and gave us some amazing recommendations from the wine to the carbona au pollet. It was delightful. Hilde explained the desserts to us, so we had to stay for more. Well worth the stop and you will be well looked after and attention to detail is evident. Thank you so much for feeding us and also giving us some top tips to see in the area x
