Visited L'hémisphère on several occasions during our recent holiday to Bénodet and the place never fails to disappoint.Although the menu is small with choice of only 5/6 dishes per course, they are all perfectly cooked (unless it's the ceviche ) and bursting with flavour.Extensive choice of wines on the boards along with an "expensive options" board.As the menus are on chalk boards only, allergy sufferers need to take extra care to inform staff, also some dishes which you think would be OK, are not. For example, the ceviche of dorade is basically raw fish, served with some pomegranate seeds.. However it was drizzled with Sesame oil. Overall well worth a visit and would advise booking.

I have been going here for years and noticed that the quality had decreased but this year I was very disappointed. The Moule frite, Galette and Crêpe were all a big flop. They even tried serving us Galathee instead of Langoustine and then said they come from the same family. Come on stop taking up for idiots. I used to eat there every other day during the summer and now my family and friends have decided to find something else. Very disappointed

This is a great little creperie that also does other great food. we ate here 3 times it was that good. It is a beach side venue so don't expect posh. What you do get is great food with a cracking view, live music and good staff. What more do you want? If you intend to go after 7PM book as it is rammed!loved it

Convenient place for lunch after a wonderful riverside walk. Busy, but not noisy. I had the set Breton menu - crepe with ham and andouille, pork with apple sauce and frites, and apple sorbet. The staff were friendly, and understanding when my French let me down. The meal was nice - nothing spectacular, but very good value at £14.

An old-fashioned brasserie-type restaurant set behind the family wine shop, this is the place for honest food and decent helpings.We had an excellent marinated salmon starter served with lime, followed by a delicious steak Tartare. Minced rather than chopped, so hugely better than the recent fashion for dicing the steak into chewy little squares. Here, apart from an initial seasoning with salt, pepper and capers, and an egg yolk in a small dish, all the ingredients are given to you in a small basket so that you can adjust the taste for yourself. Itâs a friendly, family run business, much favoured by locals, and you will get good advice on what wine to have with your meal. The service was good apart from one thing, which may have been untypical but our first course plates werenât collected for over a quarter of an hour after we had finished. But we will return as it was a breath of fresh air in these neo nouvelle cuisine days.

This is a very nice local restaurant, unpretentious and authentic. The food is good and freshly prepared. The dishes are typical of the area and the restaurant is mainly frequented by locals. Nice service and good quality/ price relationship especially if you take the proposed menu. Make a reservation as the place is small. Thursday market on the square as an extra bonus!

My husband and I enjoyed our dinner here, from the warm welcome to our last sip of wine. My pizza arrived quickly and piping hot, and my husband's pasta was perfectly cooked. The pizzas are large (33cm wide) and I couldn't finish mine, but the friendly waitress was happy to wrap my leftovers in foil to take home. We chatted a bit and learned a few words of Breton, which made our evening even more enjoyable.

The card of the restaurant says it is a traditional restaurant but it is anything but traditional. Neither the simple and modern furnishing nor the food are traditional. The furniture is simple, elegant light brown wooden tables, simple green tablecloths in a simple dining room with stoned walls with few modern style pictures. The cuisine is anything but traditional because every dish shows creativity. Some ingredients are surprisingly mixed (red cabbage with a touch of ginger, pork with apricots and raisin, goat cheese on a crouton with beet sauce) and the outcome of the dish could be perplexing. There is a long wine list with the possibility to order wine by the glass. Overall it is a nice experience and the young couple running the restaurant must be supported.

After a days travelling and a visit to Pontl'Abbe we came across this restaurant in the centre. Fortunately we were early and managed to get seated, I would advise booking beforehand as it was full a short time after our arrival.The staff were very welcoming and throughout the meal were very attentive. The meal was excellent and at a reasonable price.I would recommend it to friends and family.
