We reached it based on TA reviews and where somewhat dissapointed. The food felt like it has been prepared for the day before - we had a green salad with andouille and and a warm camembert with mushrooms. The andouille was excellent the camembert tastelless. We had also a beef skewer and a chiken breast wrapped in bacon - both edible but hardly memorable. We had also the house red wine - good. An average dinner. You had the VERY RARE PRIVILEGE to eat in a restaurant where EVERYTHING FROM A TO Z IS HOMEMADE with FRESH LOCAL products ONLY !!! Not enough for you.... The chicken was FARMER + LOCAL and the superior ham is also farmer and local, homemade by MASTER CHARCUTIER and the prestigous and delicious cheese Timadeuc is also local !!!! The "beef" is of course also fresh local meat breed... Why did you give a 5.00 euros tips and a big ( false ) smile when you leaved our restaurant ? Eat a sandwich next time and FORGET US.... By the way, poor soul, NEVER FORGET, just never forget that the french cuisine is the BEST OF THE WORLD. We ARE VERY PROUD to be recognize by the very prestigious and very rare approval of College culinaire de France / Foundation by Paul Bocuse who recognizes ONLY the good restaurants who cook ONLY fresh and locals products..... PS : We cook EVERYDAY FRESH PRODUCTS !!!!! PS 02 : Mushrooms in our camembert ???? PS 03 : YOU are very mediocre and surely not my meals..... PS 04 : We accepted you despite we were full .... to read that after !!!!!!!!!!! R. THOLLON / CHEF

It was a dinner for two and two for a dinner. It turned out a value of a dinner and a dinner of value. Fabulous starters of flavourful tender veal and genuine foie gras in its very natural form, all prepared with care and love. Then it was all about fish for both of us, all served in identical homely cast iron pots with selection of steamed vegetables but cooked with different sauce. The fish were cod and a flat variety, sort of turbot. Both were outright delicious, especially being accompanied with Touraine Sauvignon. We topped it all off with fried apricots seasoned with a lot of other goodness and had some scrumptious dessert wine and 1966 Armagnac for good measure. Tell us we don't know what fine dining is all about. Finally, it came down to very reasonable 130 Eu, modest tip included.

Really lovely little restaurant just by the seaside. Eye catching décor with polite and helpful staff. Quite small menu but they always have some interesting options on the specials board. We usually go for the fish and chips, their Cajun batter is delicious. Portions seem to have gotten smaller recently and I found a bug in my salad last time we were there but you have to just shrug it off sometimes. These things happen. Would recommend it if you're missing the UK, but don't expect mushy peas.

Having visited St Brieux, we were looking for a good place to have a nice dinner. We were very happy to have found and visited this restaurant. Sitting just outside the city center in a boring street, you wouldn't immediately find this restaurant. Inside the setting is very tasteful, keeping a relaxing atmosphere. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and guided to a pleasant table. Staff was very professional and kept a steady pace without rushing anything. We both ordered the Degustation menu; 7 courses of the chefs choice of what he has on offer.Phenomenal food and flavors in beautiful compositions were offered to us. We thoroughly enjoyed every dish and bite. Entrees, main dishes, desserts all was delightful. Given this very fine quality we find the price very, very acceptable if not modest. We will definitely revisit this place when in the neighborhood!

I was blown away by the quality of both the welcome and the cooking the last time we visited Aux Pesked. Dinner recently was still a good experience, but not flawless. Everything started well with two exceptional opening dishes, showing the artistry of the chef in choosing and using vegetables, fruits and herbs. Beautiful and satisfying.A Thai style broth accompanying our langoustines was very good and the shellfish themselves well cooked, but did they marry? We werenât sure. John Dory was very slightly undercooked for our tastes and for me the coco beans accompanying it added nothing to the dish. The girolles, on the other hand, were a great match. Dessert was good. Wine - a Corsican White - very good. Madame was charming. Service was more mixed, with a longish wait between langoustines and John Dory. The room remains beautiful and the overall ambience good, with the presence of the chef a bonus. Sadly for the rest of the diners, a noisy English/Irish group of six felt we all needed to hear all of their conversations. No manners and not good ambassadors. No fault of the restaurant, of course. So a good experience, especially the starters, with clear evidence of real cooking skills throughout, but not quite a five star visit on this occasion.Je suis désolée que vous ayez été gênés pas la conversation de vos compatriotes...au plaisir de vous accueillir de nouveau.Sophie.

Hôtel Restaurant Esprit Chambres D'hôte Les Pieds Dans L'eau Vue Panoramique Sur La Mer , Le Chef , Maitre Restaurateur, Vous Propose Une Cuisine Gastronomique
This restaurant is closed to the coast and beach of the Saint Brieuc Bay, nice walking to the Cape de Rosière ("Pointe des Rosières"). If the outside of the restaurant is not too attractive the Inside is clean and modern. The staff is very kind and also the owner lady. The fish is good, the menu is at about 24, 32 Euros, very good for a such price. I try the fish ('lieu jaune' : Pollack) with andouille ("chitterlings sausage'), but I disliked because the sausage smell is too strong and covers the smell of the fish... amazing but not attractive, it was a test for me... Itold to the waitress to avoid such combination, she reported to the Chef. With a nice white wine, a Muscadet (not expensive). After the meal (ou before), you can have a little walk to the Pointe des Rosières, a nice view from the cape to the St Brieuc bay, there is also an hoven to heat the canonballs and send them on the British boats... We will come back to this restaurant when we will back to this part of the country. Enjoy.

Ãtablissement situé dans une bâtisse de charme en bord de mer. Dans un cadre cosy, le restaurant accueille 40 personnes en intérieur et une vingtaine en terrasse. Nous sommes ouverts toute l'année sauf en janvier et Novembre.
After checking out other local options, we came to this family-run restaurant to celebrate the birthdays of our two daughters-in-law with all the family including Sam aged two and a half. As we were too many to accommodate inside, we had two tables pushed together at the far end of the covered terrace where Sam could be contained without disturbing other diners. He was served first with chicken nuggets and chips (not advertised) which kept him busy while the rest of us tucked into beautifully cooked steak, duck, fish and veal dishes, followed by some delicious desserts. The service was welocming, prompt and friendly, the wine was good and the ambience great. it was also very good value. We had such a good time that we booked to come again on the last night of our holiday (we were within walking distance, just up the road). The second time was just as good, and we noticed that although some of the desserts were the same, they were all presented differently from our first experience, which shows that the chef takes pride in his work.

Au restaurant La PASTA TCHOUTA les pates à pizza sont préparées maison et garnies avec des produits de qualités. N'hésitez pas !!! Venez vous régaler...
The entrance didn't look too inviting (we later realised that it's in the process of being painted), but inside was a surprise - so clean and fresh. We were looking for lasagne - something simpler to eat. It was delicious, and served with a small salad on the side (not usual in France) with the dressing being drizzled to the bottom rather than just on top. Desserts yummy. A place that locals enjoy, and the staff were very friendly.

Yes it's true, hard to believe I know. 74 euro, dinner and a bottle of wine. It was a fun place, we would go again with friends.
