Very nice atmosphere and restaurant, located in the Casino. The staff is very professional, helpful, patient, and all with a smile at all time. The food is excellent, fresh fish, well cooked, good quality. Highly recommended. The view is supposed to be nice on the sea but we went there at night time.I put mid range but it's also a fine dining restaurant. Perfect for special occasions and birthdays.

We stayed in Lion-sur-mer for six days - and we ate at La Taverna three times - I guess that sums up how much we enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere! We undestood that it's a family driven, all-year-round restaurant, so it won't just close down when the tourists go home - in other words, it has to serve good quality food to stay in business when the only customers are the locals. And good quality it is; honest and good tasting. In my opinion, their fish dishes is outstanding. Try the aile de raie or the sole - just wonderful! And the prices are very reasonable, too. The only thing on the menu that was quite mediocre was their desserts - except the icecream, maybe.Anyway, the desserts do not change the fact that we loved the place and that we most certainly will come back when we return to Lion-sur-mer.

The restaurant does take away pizzas which you go inside to order and are given a time to collect from a window outside. The pizzas are amazing freshly cooked & smothered in toppings. great to take & eat in whatever your accommodation of just sit on a bench & watch the sun set

This is a fairly new restaurant-We went looking for the Italian Restaurant which was here before but oh so glad we went here. Fabulous food-reasonable prices and delightful staff-well worth it's 5 stars.

Well we've eaten at Rivage rated2 to this 3 for Luc Sur Mer and in many ways the menu was better, it offered fish soup which was fine. It was small and cosy and a good choice for the village.

One of those high quality family restaurants where they truly care about quality of food and time their customers experience. I think it is impossible to be disappointed with this place because everything is filled with care. Food is delicious especially crepes, for example pepper/beef or scallop ones. Service is just beyond friendly. After my 4 lunches there, I will really miss this place!!!!

For a "local" restaurant in a beach town like Luc-sur-Mer, du Beau Rivage wasn't too bad. It's just there was a lot of room for improvement. The service was a bit slow (even by what you would measure a French restaurant's casual demeanor by) and superficial. The food was prepared in a manner that could be described, at best, as mediocre ... nothing was wrong but nor was there anything to describe it as impressive.Hello,What a lot of word to say nothing.Sorry for your impression, we try to do our best in a 2 stars Hotel Restaurant.Kind regardsPh. Situed on the port of Ouistreham near the arrival and depart for Portsmouth by the Ferry .Seafood platter and a good wine are proposed.Speciality of Fish and Meat . The dishes are homemade. Fast and discreet service .Mussels, fish and ships and crepes .
Had dinner here before embarking for the UK on Saturday night . The service was faultless and the staff really lovely. We were not rushed at all and we had time to eat our meal at a lovely gentle pace. The Mere et terre starter of fois gras and salmon and prawn was superb and our main course of steak perfectly cooked to my taste and my wife had the veal in a lovely white sauce. The veal was a little overcooked but was still really tasty. All in all a good meal.
