We chose this restaurant because of the good reviews. We were very disappointed. Overview: Server didn't say 'Bonsoir'.We ordered chicken burgers. The burger buns were cold. The cheese wasnt melted. Too much breadcrumbs on the chicken resulting in it being hard to bite. The chips were too crunchy. I only eat cooked chips and these were like...fried 4 times over. The chips aren't chips... But tiny fries...My stomach bloated just after eating half of this meal (and I can eat a lot!)I'd recommend avoiding this stodge.

Thank you trip advisor for pointing to this great little restaurant serving up delicious treats using local produce. We stopped here before exploring the island and used it as a coffee break (with a couple of lovely French tarts : butter salted caramel and strawberry). The owner could see us working out the route and offered us help between cooking oysters on a giant smoker in the garden. He spent over 15 minutes telling us about the island, the ecosystems, the places that tourists never venture but are the gems of the island that only the locals know. He told us how to get the best view of Fort Boyard (from a beach that was so secluded it was empty). While this was happening, planks of meats and fish were going back and forth from the smoker and it looked amazing! We decided we must return later on in the stay to try it. For such a busy little place we were so grateful to Simon for helping us make the most of our stay. A real example of French hospitality and from what we could see delicious food!!

We misses this meal a lot! The restaurant is obviously a popular one, arrive at noon for lunch and by 12:30 it's already full! We order the oyster special of the day and baked oyster, so tasty! The fresh fish dish recommended are delicious. Would definitely return again just to enjoy the seafood meal in the island!!!!

We were delighted to find that Loic and Florian Bordier, the chefs behind this inventive restaurant, have blended flavours from their travels wound the world with French cuisine of the Charente Maritime region. It brings some real pizzazz to the meal and we were all delighted with main courses we had. Definitely a 'MUST VISIT' recommendation if ever on the Ile d'Oleron. And the wines have a broad choice without being too expensive. Five stars!

We've been to this restaurant a few times now and it really is exceptional. It gets very busy especially weekends so book in advance. It is in a beautiful location surrounded by water and accessed by a wooden bridge and platform. The service is friendly and excellent and the staff all have very good knowledge of the menu. The menu is quite small but caters for most tastes. It is all locally sourced and the ingredients are of the highest quality. Our food was cooked to perfection. The wine list is very good and local wines from the island are available. Wine prices are very reasonable. The local white Colombard was very very good and perfect with the fish dishes we ordered. Lots to see and do locally before or after your meal.Already planned the next meal there this week!

lovely terrace with wooden tables - fresh and home made food - fishes from LA COTINIERE - grill - pizza - backed potatoes - and a large choice of "suggestion du moment - changing every week
Great staff and great food. This is a slick and well run restaurant. We had smoked salmon starters and a pizza. Very happy with our choice. These guys looked like they were enjoying themselves and it showed. We visited out of season but reckon it could get a bit busy in peak periods.

French traditional restaurant. Home made.
We've eaten here every holiday on oleron and find the food, value and service consistently good. Service is friendly and cheerful. Eat indoors, or outdoors in sun or shade. Only tiny disappointment (the only issue stopping me awarding maximum score) is that the menu doesn't seem to change, so although there's plenty of choice, it can feel somewhat deja-vu. Overall a really good lunch experience every time. Thanks :)

Really lovely bistro style restaurant with a good choice of dishes including some excellent fish. The staff are really friendly and humoured my terrible use of the French language. I ordered a swordfish special which was possibly one of the best fish dishes I've ever eaten. The only downside was that one of our party ordered fish & chips which wasn't quite cooked in places although this was easily and quickly rectified.

Stopped there on a whim on our way to somewhere else! We were very pleased with the â¬13.90 set menu which was excellent value. The roast mackerel was very tasty and included in the price was a small carafe of wine! Definitively worth stopping!

This restaurant is located in a 'suck'-like building just off the main road - there is a parking lot. The interior is "historic-fisherman" with a real fire at it's centre. There is a set-menu with 4-6 choices per plate covering both seafood, fish and meat all of which are simply cooked - relying on the excellent produce which on the occasion we visited was very justified.
