This is a fantastic bar with very friendly staff, good drinks and good food. We were only in the resort for 3 nights but this became the must visit each night. A special mention to the simply stunningly beautiful waitress with the black hair ponytail who made the evenings parfait! We'll definitely be back next year. Mines a coca zero!

The restaurant is very unique with the style of food served. there is a selection of fondues but also small barbeques placed on the table where you cook your own selection of fillet, duck fillets and lamb served with melted cheese and potatoes. A fantastic unique meal for families and friends.

Very cosy, English and Spain spoken. Very differents sorts of french cooking. Everybeef and duck meat are grilled at "Plancha" even for the fishes.Very well placed in front of the GRAND THERMES. Only French South-West wines and the "Owner Suggestions" to
We both went for the Porc Noir cooked a la plancha. The sides were kept simple, but with good reason - nothing should take away from the greatest piece of pork we've both ever eaten. The owner spoke to us in English when she realised my French is iffy at best. She recommended an excellent wine and not just the most expensive as so many places do. The dessert was average - best to head to a local patisserie, but nothing can take away from how well the meat was cooked. Thanks a lot for your very kind advice about our restaurant. W'ill be very pleased to see you again if you come back in BAGNERES. Friendly yoursThe owner

Weâve just finished having a really nice dinner my husband, my Two kids and I. We ordered a meat fondue and a racklette ..delicious. Mateo who attended our table was not just pleasant but also very patient with our table selection , helpful and at all times with a big smile. I also as many others recommend the place. .. There are some good restaurants in Bagneres, but this is for sure the one with the best pizza. Besides, they have leffe beer and that's really great. Staff is very friendly and kind. Be careful about opening time and be patient because is always full. Enjoy!!

As others have reported, what's on offer here is authentic regional cooking of organic local produce - and served at beautifully long refectory tables in the cool, dark interior of this rustic auberge. When we first arrived, having booked a lunchtime meal for three vegetarians and me, I thought the menu was pricey by local standards - â¬15 for a main dish, â¬20 for two courses and â¬25 for three, with drinks extra. (Pricey, I mean, compared to the normal menu du jour at your average local restaurant in SW France, which usually offers 4 courses and wine for a total of â¬12-14.) Nor did the main-course menu item Assiette Vegetarienne seem especially promising: I imagined it would be the usual hopeless splodge of overcooked veg, despite our having been told by an acquaintance that vegetarians did well here compared to elsewhere in the region. How wrong I was - it wasn't overpriced and it was nothing like a hopeless splodge. Very large plates arrived, on which sat a portion of each of the following: spanakopita, dauphinoise potatoes, potimarron gratin, cauliflower beignet (fritter), cheese croustillants and salad - plus little pots of mango chutney, chopped almonds and vinaigrette. All three people agreed that it was exceptional - beautifully created and cooked by someone who really knew what they were doing. And when my wife spoke to the chef, it turned out that she is a vegetarian herself (a very rare thing in a French kitchen). But you certainly don't have to be a vegetarian to eat well here. My own plate of lamb chops was perfectly cooked, and came with well above average side vegetables.None of us needed more than the main course, though the menu offered as starters: rillettes of rabbit, warm goats' cheese, cold duck or a chiffonade of ham; other main courses besides ours were garbure (big soup) or duck confit, plus accompanying vegetables/salad; the desserts were tiramisu, chocolate fondant cake, nougat ice-cream or one scoop of each of three ice cream flavours of your choice. The menu changes from time to time - always a good sign in itself. So too is the warmth and straightforwardness of the couple whose auberge it is.Chez Gabrielle is in a beautiful village - Lesponne - on the road that leads up to the Blue Lake. From the village you can also walk down into the very pretty valley, where mountain meltwater rushes down a wide stream between meadows of wild flowers and vivid green grass. Oh, and you get a particularly fine view of all this from the charmingly decorated lavatory at the restaurant itself.Altogether the best kind of local cuisine in a terrific, tranquil place.

Le Jardin des Brouches has moved a short distance to the building previously occupied by L'Auberge Gourmande (1 Boulevard de l"Hyperon) which closed a couple of years ago. This is a fine building in an excellent location near the Casino and the Thermes. Valérie and Benoît have completely transformed the interior and reopened last night. The food is of the same excellent quality as before - always fresh and imaginative but the ambience is much more stylish and elegant. Wisely they do not plan to increase the number of covers so will continue to look after clients as well as they always have. We ate often in their old home and intend to do so in their new premises. We have never been disappointed and their 31⬠menu is excellent value. At lunchtime there is a â¬21 menu which is even better value though with less choice.

We ate here whilst on holiday in Bagneres. The terrasse was a relaxing place to spend the evening, and the staff were attentive throughout. We chose from the set menus, which were reasonably priced and very good value. E16/E22/E30. We wanted simple French style cuisine, and this was exactly what we received. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, they were presented well and cooked to perfection. We will be back when we're next in the area.

Having eaten all over France over the past 40 years or so, I can recommend this restaurant unreservedly. The food was beautifully cooked and presentation superb. It is a classic formula of "keep it simple", a small restaurant with about 10 tables, a tried and tested menu and decent selection of wines at sensible prices. The Entrecôte dissolved in the mouth, the lamb was delicious and the veal well, the flavour! All the puddings are exquisite. I took the family and we all had something different and everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. â¬130 for 4 a la carte with wine and coffee, try and beat it ! Highly recommended, the service was good too.

This bonne addresse set up here in the centre of Bagneres a few months ago and we've just tried lunch here, and being 5 minutes walk from our house is a very welcome and convenient new venue for us and our visitors. And at lunch service on a dull Thursday in early December the place was full which speaks volumes. We had the daily menu for â¬17, very well priced for a delicious 3 course meal. Why not 5 blobs ? well - and admittedly we were last to arrive; close to 13.30 - the fish for the main course hadn't been cooked freshly to order and was a little tired, and for drinks at lunchtime I think there should be an option for a house wine - instead the carte only had bottles starting at â¬16, which does put up the bill somewhat. But overall, very nice and modern cuisine, efficient and welcoming service. Well done to the "2 C's" and hope that you become a permanent feature in the town, and we look forward to returning soon.bonjourmerci pour votre avisjuste, sachez que vous pouviez avoir le vin au verre aussi bien au lunch qu'au diner pour 4â¬et je suis surpris pour le poisson car je le cuit toujours à la minute devant vous, la cuisine étant ouverte.en espérant vous revoir bientot
