Beat bagels in the Valley! Made the correct way by guys from Brooklyn. Great sandwiches too using Boars Head meat and fine cheeses
DJ makes it's own bagels. I believe they bring the water and flour in from NY. If not, the bagels still have that NY taste. They serve breakfast and lunch sandwiches. All good. If you don't have a large appetite, the lunch sandwiches can be shared. They do get crowded, but the food is worth the wait. The prices are reasonable. They have cream cheese in several flavors - all good. I'm partial to the strawberry. During fall and winter they have homemade soup - delicious. If you are in Fountain Hills, it is worth a stop here. If you aren't in Fountain Hills, it is worth it to come here for the bagels.

Chocofin is a true chocolate lovers store! The chocolate selection is amazing - candies, confections, cakes, ice cream, sauces, pies, cheesecake. YUM! There are some non-chocolate selections, but.... why? (they are delicious if you really need to go there). The owners are trained chocolatiers. Everything is made on site. They offer their own small batch craft chocolate. They server Berto's Gourmet Gelato and Sorbet which is the only item they don't make. Worth a drive to to Fountain Hills to shop here.

I'v been here three times in the last month. The first time there a young lady (college age) was making the coffee. A great cup of espresso with streamed water & milk. Very good. The last two times the owner (co-owner wife) was there and OMG I was surprised she even knew how to operator the espresso machine. I tasted like coffee filtered through a jockstrap. If you walk in and a young women is working the counter stay ... otherwise turnaround and leave.

We were in town for the Javelina Jundred and we ate breakfast there a couple of times. The pancakes were fantastic and my friend tried the baked pancake. She said it was good but enjoyed the regular pancakes better the next day. We got there early, shortly after they opened because the reviews said they would be packed, especially on the weekends. Great service and the wait staff is very friendly. I definitely will revisit if I am ever back in the area.

The shop is very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Choose from many flavorful options and ask for a sample, if you feel the need. There are many toppings... just remember you are paying by weight... the dessert weight, not yours ;-)

If excessive noise aggravated by loud music, all around TV screens with sports events, modest drinks and rushing, non-smiling waiters are your idea of fun, you would love this place. I did not. Even the Fountain views could not save it for me. I'll take the Saddle Bronc anytime over this one

We dropped by the Sun Baked Pastry Shop the other morning on our walk. What a treat! On Saturdays they bake donuts, but first we need our savory and they had three different kinds of homemade quiche. Wow, absolutely delicious! The donuts were great and we had to take home a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread that was still warm, and a mini sweet potatoe pie! Yummmm

Sapori D'Italia brings a piece of Italy to Fountain Hills, AZ. Enjoy some of the finest Italian dishes prepared from our kitchen to your table. Everything is made from scratch, including our mozzarella and pasta. We use only the highest quality ingredients such as flour and tomatoes imported from Naples.
We shared a pizza, La Trinacria, with added artichoke hearts and a cheesecake -- strange combination. The wood-fired pizza was excellent. The cheesecake was the best New York style cheesecake we have had outside NYC -- superb. I noted reviews commenting about the black underside of the pizza -- this is characteristic of good wood-fired pizza. The service was efficient and attentive without being intrusive. We had an excellent interaction with the owner. We will be returning for a fine dinner based on our experience with the pizza and cheesecake.

As my wife and I were entering Fountain Hills on Saguaro Blvd, we passed the Saddle Bronc Grill. I said to her, "Let's eat at the Saddle Bronc Grill when we leave Fountain Hills."
Friday evenng and The-Joint-Was-Jumping. Parking is free and we 'lucked out' and got a parking place right out in front of the Saddle Bronc Grill. We were seated immediately. Had we come in 15-minutes later, we'd have been in a waiting queue.
It is sort of a Sports Bar. Many overhead televison sets were showing the Winter Olympics and local Cactus League Baseball games. Our server was good. The overall ambiance was fun and friendly. It was a fun experince. We ordered the 4 piece Broasted Chicken dinner with two sides. The sides (cole slaw and baked beans) were VERY small. The baked beans were extraordinary. I wish we'd gotten two sides of the baked beans. The Broasted Chicken was good.
A fun place to have spent Friday evening in Fountain Hills, Arizona.
