Reasonably priced budget hotel. Rooms are pretty small but are clean. There are several places to eat and drink nearby and there is ample parking opposite. The road system into the town is fairly complicated and not best attempted after a long drive!

Take the advice of the Michelin Guide and come and stay at the Best Western Hôtel des Voyageurs!Convenient: besides its excellent location at the foot of the castle, belfry, public gardens and town centre restaurants, the hotel is within easy reach of all the major attractions of Brittany and Normandy, via a toll-free motorway (Rennes (30 mins) Mont Saint Michel, the D-Day landing beaches, Saint-Malo etc.) Breakfast. Breakfast. The all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast includes carefully selected tasty, regional ingredients often organically produced and fair trade sourced. Our buffet breakfast is served in the dining room and comprises a wide range of hot and cold drinks (coffee, tea, herbal tea, milk, and freshly-squeezed orange juice), cornflakes, cereals, jams, ham and a large selection of cheeses, dairy products, breads and pastries
This hotel has no air conditioning or window screens. As a result, you have to leave your curtains and windows open all night to get air into the room. However, then you had to contend light from the street illuminating the room and car traffic all night. The weather was cool but the room was stifling. The room appeared clean but there was mold in the shower. Luckily we only had to stay one night. I do not recommend this hotel.

We have stayed at other Campaniles and chose this one as they are a standard formula. it is easy to find with ample free car parking. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. We read some reviews that said the road was too noisy and affected their sleep - we didn't have the same experience and enjoyed a good nights sleep.

We stayed for a night on our motorcycle holiday, the owners were very helpful and let us park our bike in an alley at the back of the hotel. Breakfast was reasonably good at 9 euros pp. The room we had though was pretty basic, the shower was over a bath with antiquated taps mixing in to it which proved difficult to get the temperature correct, shower screen had a gap between it and the bath which leaked water on to the bathroom floor making it dangerously slippery. Delightful people but I'm afraid the hotel is in a bit of a time warp and needs some updating.

Located in the heart of the historic center of Fougeres, the mansion Le Mercier de Montigny, erected in the 18th century stands on the ramparts of the 14th century to the breathtaking view of the largest fortress in Europe, the countryside and the flowery private garden and raised. The rooms in the castle view combines the authenticity of classic parquet, wood paneling, high ceilings and comforta
A beautiful building, fabulous decor and steeped in history. Combine this with hosts that are just amazing and you’ve got this place! The rooms are light, spacious and extremely comfortable. Breakfast is something to get excited about too! Local produce combines with homemade crepes, jams and cake. It’s truly magnificent. I can’t recommend this hotel enough, go there, you’ll love it!

Tried to stay in this hotel as part of Paris-Brest-Paris cycling race. Intended to stay to have a quick sleep in the morning from 7 to 11, and was refused! I was told I needed to check in the previous evening (screenshots available). No refund was given, even though I was trying to check-in at the time the room was reserved for me. If you are a cyclist, AVOID! Even if you are not, AVOID! This business deserves to close.

For one night is good to stay here. More than one night it may be a little stressing. The hotel is about 40 minutes walk from the castle and the city centre. We book online, but when we arrive at the hotel, the receptionist didn't found our reservation and he had to call the Accor Booking managing centre to get the confirmation. The room was ok, but the public spaces (WC, showers) were quite dirty. During the night it was quite noise. Breakfast was nice and buffet.
