Adhérent au collège culinaire de France et Maitre restaurateur notre cuisine est locavore, traditionnelle et uniquement concoctée à base de produits frais.
We arrived at this restaurant a little weary, at 9pm, having exhausted all other restaurants in the area... which looked pretty grim. We sat down in one place, saw about 5 flies on our table - and walked out!
So we were not expecting much from the Galon ar Breizh and were blown away by the quality of the food... we both had the lamb, which was so tender it was falling off the bone, washed down with a bottle of lovely local cider. The meal came to 35 euros including the service, but it was worth every penny. We would return to this restaurant in a heartbeat. I will be dreaming of that beautiful lamb and trying to recreate it at home (no doubt unsuccessfully) for a long time to come! Bon appetit! This place is excellent.

on arrival here the welcome was great, it wasn't that busy but we were early eaters on a Wednesday night. very attentive service, lovely carbonara with a good wine, what was not to like, great prices and a very nice environment. good find for us in Fougeres.

We recently stayed in Fougeres and on a wet, cold night, having been turned away from a couple of restaurants because we had two dogs, we were given a warm welcome by the staff of Le Haut Seve. It turned out to be a memorable...MoreMerci pour votre message et c'est avec grand plaisir que nous vous accueillerons de nouveau .

We stumbled across this restaurant totally by accident - two other places we tried were closed and one was fully booked. This was the best accidental find we could have made! Friendly atmosphere, lovely home-cooked food and a great setting. The rustic nature of the building totally added to its charm. Food was simple but absolutely delicious and we had 3 courses with 2 drinks for €44! A bargain and we will definitely return!

After touring an interesting and very large castle (Fougeres) we settled in for lunch at this nearby restaurant. We ordered galettes, a typical dish featured throughout Brittany. They were the best buckwheat galettes we had eaten during our tour of the region. Paired nicely with a local beer we really enjoyed this lunch experience.

We stopped by this place and were surprised to see all these recommendation badges they had at the entrance. We wanted a table for 4 people, but everything was booked. Finally the shop owner ask us if 1h-1h15 would suffice for our diner, hence we were among the first costumers.
It goes without saying that the service was very fast, and well-timed, we got our crêpes in less than 10 minutes and we enjoyed a delicious meal and cider of the region. The desert crêpes followed perfectly, and we finished our meal 10 minutes before the impose time, without rushing.
This shop owner could have just said "no, we're full", yet she delivered awesome service and delicious crêpes.

Starters good but main courses bland for English tastes. Desserts mostly ice cream varieties. Service amd ambience good. Toilets very cramped but clean. Difficult parking at lunchtimes.

We visited Fougeres for the Tour de France and had a wander around town pre choosing to dine here (following Trip Advisor reviews). The restaurant is unassuming and initially we were put off by the 'Pizzeria' on the board, however we chose to eat here and offered to eat on the Terrace, which is across the small road in front of the town library. While the wine we were offered was limited 'Blanc, rouge au Rosé?' the carafe of red was very good but the food was sublime. Basic French cooking at it's finest and interestingly presented starter of sardine rillettes and the 'assiette de boucher' was amazingly cooked. All in - preceded by a large cidre de Bretagne - only €60! You cannot get better for this value anywhere!

Since buying my house in Normandy I have only found 3 Indian restaurants, in Dinan Dol de Bretagne and Fougeres. The Taj in Fougeres has had the best food so far with friendly fast service. The prices are about the same as the others and as all of these are over 30mins drive away it needs to be good quality. Highly recommended.

Had the menu de jour. Soup was homemade and the galette and crepe was delicious. It’s the second time I have been here and it hasn’t disappointed.
