Very few times I use the term Memorable Experience to describe a restaurant. This is it.
I just return from Artisanal and was delighted with the ambiance, the menu, the food, the wine list and last but certainly not least the service.
Our server, Natalie was truly superb. She made our total experience truly memorable. She should be commended.
I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Every time we visit Boone, Stick Boy Bread Company is the first place we stop. The pastries and pretty much everything on their menu is top quality and scrumptious. The employees are friendly, even giving us tips on what to do in the area. Don't miss this opportunity for great service and cuisine!

Camp Coffee Roasters, formerly known as Bald Guy Brew of Blowing Rock has a new name but we are still under the same great management with our same owners. We are located inside Footsloggers in an old stone building on Main Street in Blowing Rock. Up in the attic you will find our warn and cozy espresso bar. We look forward to presenting our fresh roasted - fair trade and organic coffees and finely crafted espresso drinks...CHEERS! Stop by and check out our new roastery as well.
I thought when they moved to their downstairs space service might improve. They are nice but totally unprepared to handle large volume of customers. If you know it is going to be a busy weekend staff up. You shouldn't have to wait 20 minutes to get a single black coffee.

Located on top of Gideon Ridge, guests enjoy dining Al Fresco or in our intimate dining room. The cuisine is an eclectic blend of the freshest mountain ingredients, prepared in the classical style. Dinner served Tuesday - Saturday by reservation.
Chef Hunter prepares a magnificent meal in a perfect atmosphere. This cozy restaurant is perfect for that special night. The bison campanelle was a very good starter. The pork tenderloin melted in your mouth. It was served over a creamy risotto. An after dinner drink in front of the fire is as good as it gets.

We stopped here because our 11 year old daughter got to pick- she chose well! We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate. I highly recommend the duck- it was insanely good! The calamari was excellent and the rest of the family loved their sushi. We tried to eat here, again, but a water main break caused some of the locals to close because of possible water contamination. We will definitely be dining here next time we are in town!

I dare you to walk down the sidewalk and pass this place without drooling. They make their waffle cones and exhaust the smell straight out to the sidewalk. You'll find yourself going in to this place before you realize you want to. Great ice cream and fudge.

Over Yonder is a destination restaurant in Valle Crucis, North Carolina; Near Blowing Rock, Boone, Banner Elk, and Linville in The Western North Carolina High Country mountains. Designed, owned and managed by the award-winning Mast Farm Inn, Over Yonder restaurant tells the story of historic Appalachian cuisine in a picturesque setting atop the rolling hills and peaks of Valle Crucis, North Carolina. Located across from the Original Mast General Store, a few hundred yards from The Mast Farm Inn.
My wife and I visited Over Yonder on an anniversary trip to the mountains and left seeing the potential of the restaurant but feeling very unimpressed. We arrived after dark and while it was raining but the scenery and the outside of the house itself were still very impressive! When we opened the door the girl behind the hostess stand finished what she was doing on the computer before acknowledging us and while it was only a few seconds it definitely wasn't the most welcoming way to start the evening. After we were seated it took several minutes before our waitress came over, which was fine because there was already ice water and menus on the table, but I was beginning to worry about the rest of the night. We also had to ask to have the fireplace turned on and while I understand not leaving them on all night unless its extremely cold outside it would have been nice if the waitress asked us if we wanted it on since it was winter and our table was right in front of it. For dinner my wife had the meatloaf and I had the chicken fried chicken. Both were good and the sides were delicious, except the mashed potatoes which were bland and lukewarm. Overall we were happy with the food but it wasn't worth the price even considering the location and atmosphere. Unfortunately the night ended on a bad note as our waitress did not return for 15 min after leaving us with the desert menu. A party with 46 people had arrived in a private room and while this certainly explains what happened it does not excuse it. My wife and I weren't in a hurry so we didn't get up to track down another waitress or anything like that, but even when our waitress returned she offered no apology. We really wanted to like Over Yonder because the setting is spectacular but we probably won't be back.

This place has too many appealing choices on the menu. I finally settled on a chicken salad sandwich on whole wheat with southern potato salad. My son chose the Philly cheese steak. My sandwich was very good, but his sandwich was delicious. When we return, I am ordering the Philly cheese. The potato salad was average. I am not sure where they got "southern" potato salad. I am from the South and it definitely did not measure up to what I am accustomed.

We ate here 2 out of 3 mornings and wish we'd done the third. Great breakfast, lots of variety and the servers were very nice and efficient to a "T" to get every detail correct. Omelettes and biscuits were just super!

On a gorgeous fall day, we enjoyed a brunch of tomato Gouda soup, Mediterranean crepe and a cafe latte. Many daily specials on the chalkboard to choose from in addition to the printed menu. Come early to avoid a wait, or call day of for a reservation. Our waitress was friendly and organized with our group of 8. Loved the garden setting!
