This is not your typical Hot dog stand. Pete, Tepee Pete is just a guy with a pot of chili and a dream. Serving roadside eats, outside dining only. Only open seasonally May to October.
Love this place. We stop here on our way to Cooperstown. The food is fine, but I love the Teepee because there are some special things inside the Teepee store to buy, made by American Indians.
Sure they have nice moccasins and lovely
Gifts, but they also have some exceptional
Things made by America Indians like Salad Bowls made of magnificent wood and some wonderful jewelry. The special handmade works are not inexpensive, but they are magnificent and quite worth the price. The materials used are timeless.
The owners of this place love the American
Indians and always make sure to have some important pieces made my Contemporary American Indian Artists.
I didn't expect to see such quality in a small
Gift shop. You might want to ask the owners to direct you, in your purchases.
You can fine real luxury in this store, if you want it.

I stopped for lunch around 1:30 on the Saturday of the Harvest Festival. The hostess told me the wait was 30 to 45 minutes. I elected to wait. I had been here before and had a very good experience. And, lunch options were limited elsewhere unless I wanted a food stand. So, I waited and waited and waited. After about 45 minutes (when I was pretty sure that a party of two who had come in after me were seated), I checked with the hostess to see where I was on the list. She told me there were five parties (still) in front of me. So, I waited some more. About 1/2 later (after almost everyone had been seated) I went up to check again. Fortunately, one of the owners was at the desk at the time. I noticed that several parties on the second page of the list had already been seated. I was on the bottom of the first page. When I pointed that out to him, things QUICKLY moved along. I was brought a menu and told that I could place my order now and would be seated as soon as a table became available. I was seated within a minute. My order was promptly taken.
The burger was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The corn chowder was hot and tasty. The Chardonnay was very nice. My waitress was attentive. I am pretty sure she was made aware of my situation.
So, the experience ended very well and I will return. I suspect there was an error (in judgement(?)) made by the hostess initially. The co-owner and waitress more than made up for it.

I attended a bridal shower at this quaint and charming restaurant. Accessed their website and reviewed menu and history and then checked Tripadvisor for reviews. Outstanding reviews due to the cozy ambiance but overwhelmingly because of the chef's use of local ingredients and menu changes done seasonally. The buffet for our group was delicious---the personal quiches (choice of 3 or 4) were excellent as were the pasta, quinoa, and kale salad offerings. Dessert was another choice of unique items; 3 layer mint cake was beautiful to see and taste and the dark chocolate cake with guava jelly glaze was outstanding. The chef was on hand to introduce all to the offerings--nice touch. Plan to return for dinner with my husband once spring actually arrives! Highly recommend.

This restaurant is different from all I've been to throughout the US and England. Reservations are strongly suggested. When you get to the waiting area you see a board with specials and the menus. Your entree and appetizers are ordered here. The furniture and most contents of the room are from the early 1900's? The couch cushions almost go to the floor. There is a stuffed bear, a beaver, an elk, a skunk and a pheasant in the waiting area.
Once you are called to your table your waitress knows if you ordered an appetizer and submits that order. She comes back and leaves a pitcher of water. Already at the table is a small plate of coleslaw that's delicious. We ordered the liver as an appetizer. I hate liver but this really was good. I couldn't believe how tender it was. The flavor was very enjoyable.
This was followed by a cup of soup.
After that out comes corn fritters and maple syrup. Do I even have to elaborate?
Then comes the entrees. I ordered the prime rib rare. Sure it enough it was rare and large enough to feed a family from a third world country. A bowl of creamed potatoes was left on the table and baked onions and squash was shoveled onto my plate - as much as I wanted and was asked later if I wanted more.
I should have mentioned that a dinner plate is brought out under the soup and needs to remain on the table. This is because your entree takes up an entire plate and all of the accompaniments fill the regular plate. And if that's not enough you also have homemade bread at the table.
All of the food was served hot and fresh. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The place is off the beaten path but well worth the trip.

It's hard to express what a disappointment this restaurant was. In spite of the good reviews, I just can't agree with any of them. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and it was awful. I had to send it back because they forgot the bacon. When it was brought back to me, I took a look under the bun and the amount of bacon they added was miniscule. The burger was tiny (approx. 3" across) and the bun was pitiful. You'd get more for your money if you ordered a burger from the dollar menu at a fast food restaurant. I considered ordering a side of potato salad, but at $2.99 for one serving, I decided not to get it. My husband said his burger was "just ok." I feel bad being so negative, but I have to be honest about our experience.

We stopped here as a mid-trip respite when driving from Buffalo to Lowell and we were glad we did! The owner, Chris, is a prince of customer service. We had the Turkey, bacon, and cheddar sandwiches and they were delicious, especially with the cucumber salad side. Followed it with sumptuous gellato. Filling and satisfying all around!

Went for late dinner. One large room with tables and booths. With children at other tables the atmosphere can get loud. Tile floors and no sound absorbing furnishings. One person in the kitchen, one out front who does the wait staff work and makes pizza but still the service was no slower than one would expect. I had a burger generously topped with ingredients, my brother an antipasto salad that he indicated was very well flavored. Friendly waiter who forgot my brother's drink until 1/2 way through the meal so did not charge us for it. Fries prepared just right and a generous portion.

The pizza was outstanding. The pizza dough was fresh and it tasted great. They also make a great pizza sauce. There is a another pizza place across the street and I think we make the right choice by going to New York Pizzeria. I was a great pizza. Restaurant was clean and the bathrooms were well maintained.

We were looking for a place for breakfast when driving in Palatine Bridge - the only place we could find was McDonald's - we had egg Mcmuffins and sausage Mcmuffins - they were just OK nothing great - the OJ was good - tasted like fresh squeezed - we went to the drive thru - was fast.

Hoped to get a tasty mix of ales and comfort food here.
We arrived around 7 PM and the place was mostly empty.
Took a seat at the bar. The brass rail was a soldered copper tube ...
The bar looked rustic, almost authentic.
We were promptly greeted by a pleasant bar tender. She inquired about our home place and explained some of the areas history.
They had a few ales on draft.
The Guinness tasted stale, possibly not enough consumption to keep it fresh. the Samuel Adams October Ale tasted better.
One look at the poor menu offerings made us decide to go eat elsewhere.
Simple bar to fast-food, 4 choices that night.
A live band was set up but they did not play during our stay. Some members plucked their instruments, and walked away. Did we have to offer them beer to play?
