A barrier island where you can see loggerhead turtles nesting, dolphins playing and bald eagles soaring in the sky, Folly Beach offers a kick-off-your-shoes beach lifestyle where the livin’ is easy and the fish always seem to be biting. All of the beaches on Folly Island are superb, but, arguably the Folly Beach County Park, at the island’s west end, is perhaps the best with amenities like 2,500 feet of ocean frontage, picnic areas and boogie board, bicycle, umbrella and chair rentals available between Labor Day and Memorial Day. “Drop a line” is a common local saying and for good reason. Anglers can select from surf fishing, river fishing, pier fishing and deep-sea fishing. Head to the Folly Beach Fishing Pier, which is 24 feet wide extending more then 1,045 feet into the Atlantic Ocean, making it perfect for fishing, strolling and bird and dolphin watching. For adventurous types, you can kayak around Folly Beach and James Island, jet ski, parasail or ride a bicycle along Folly’s six mile of beachfront.

We had pancakes (special pecan, carmel, banana, choc chip) and they were delicious. Also tried the biscuits and gravy which I like very much. There was a lot of choices, and I would like to try many others. Long lines, but they moved quickly. Seating inside and outside. Pictures of dogs everywhere! Very neat.

Roasted has been my favorite coffee place ever since they first opened at Tides. Wonderful service this morning and this afternoon :) and wonderful salted caramel frappuccinos. Thank you :) I will definitely be back :)

We came here after dinner for dessert after seeing a bunch of people with ice cream. They have ice cream and yogurt. I got the mint chocolate yogurt and it was really good. The boyfriend got strawberry ice cream and also liked it. We may be back tomorrow!

Green Curry Mac and Cheese for me, Butternut Squash Ravioli for my wife who is more sensitive to spice. Both dishes very good. Atmosphere is more bar than restaurant but food is delicious

So its serve yourself, that was new to me, the young lady there was a little mute on what we should do...... Teenagers .... We are smart enough that we kinda figured it out our selves . Only a few ice cream flavors but It had plenty of topping choices and upon eating it, it was really good. It also had a sideways rocking/gliding bench out front that was really neat. I love small towns (I'm from one myself) and I love small town charm so overall I really liked this place.

Their coffee beans are local and they tasted so good!! Cold brew is definitely recommended and they do have pastries that you can also enjoy. This place also is connected to ice cream store next door which you have more options.

We had several breakfasts here this past fall....great coffee and breakfast offerings. This one is the branch at James Island. The decor is very funky and delightful....lots of interesting signs. Food was right on the money with a great selection of offerings. Excellent value price-quality. Service was excellent with a lovely smile. When next in town will definitely eat here again.

Surf Bar is a locals' favorite on Folly Beach, South Carolina.
We bought chicken sandwiches, vegetable burgers onion rings and salad...the food was excellent, the service was excellent, the back room which is actually open air is casual, people with families were there, also a gentleman who was loud smoking and drunk. Once he left it was more enjoyable. The outside is very nondescript, we wouldn't have gone in if a local resident didn't recommend it. We would go back and recommend this place to friends.

Stopped in here to hopefully watch a playoff basketball game last Sunday. Susan set us up at a table near a big screen, close captioned TV, set us up with the correct station and we settled in for the game. The pub was busy with many people eating, socializing and listening to the afternoon singer entertainment. He sounded great and had it not been for the game, we would have appreciated him much more.
Our server, Emily kept checking on us for drinks and food throughout. The food was fantastic, we shared an order of spicy calamari, my husband ordered the corned beef and cabbage (not the least bit salty and the cabbage was buttery and the beef, tender). My chicken sandwich honey and brie was very good and came with lots of French fries.
We couldn't have been happier and our team won! BTW, we were the only two watching that game in the entire place.

Loggerhead's is "The Spot" on Folly Beach where locals and tourists meet to enjoy food, drink and themselves in a fun laid back atmosphere. We focus on fresh local seafood prepared to order with fair prices. Enjoy the smoke free dining room or relax on the new deck, complete with an awesome open air bar and views of the Atlantic Ocean.
We were here in late December. Came to hear the music - very good, versatile combo. Lively atmosphere, good, friendly service, large selection of beer on tap. We had flatbread pizza, and shrimp tacos, and beer. Many people dancing, cheerful ambiance. Quite an enjoyable evening out.
Only complaint was that we wanted to dance longer. Combo packed up too early!
