First time in this newly open restaurant! Beautiful atmosphere inside. Very nice outdoor patio for outdoor dining. Open for lunch and dinner. We went mid afternoon and my sister and I both had their fillet with mashed potatoes and asparagus and it was absolutely fabulous! Steak cooked to perfection. Service was fabulous!

Ate at this establishment when I was staying at the Hampton Inn JAX airport. Had the stuffed mushrooms and Parmasean Chicken which were both great. My hostess, Amanda, was very nice and very accommodating with her prompt service. Got there around 5pm and was relatively empty, when I left at 6pm the place was packed. Nice place

WOWZERS! For all the Jacksonville Carnivores, Salento Colombian steakhouse is better than all the Brazilian steakhouses, longhorn, Texas Roadhouse, Tess steakhouse, etc...... This is the best place to get your Colombian fix, juice fix, meat fix, and even dessert fix. Salento is truly a Swiss Army knife of culinary goodness.First things first, the restaurant is very clean and beautifully styled in Colombian focused fixtures and decorations. Their menu is extensive with many cool selections and I had to have 10 minutes to review the whole menu and decide what I wanted. They have platters where you can try many of the staple combo and meats in one. Do not underestimate the portioning of Salento. I ordered the 16 ounce New York strip with an idea that it would not be too filling. Boy, I was wrong - I was fully satisfied with more left over for the next day. Salento is tucked away in mandarain, relatively far from most of Jacksonville. But, trust me, this is definitely worth the drive. The pricing is more Han reasonable for what you get and the menu boats many options that are unique to Colombian culture that you can experience. Love this place! THANK YOU!!!!- Ansel Ponce Diama

This was our first time here or at any Brazilian Steakhouse and we were very impressed by the quality and quantity of the meats, salad bar and the service during the meal. Everyone was given a card that had green on one side meaning keep the meats coming; or red that meant no thanks I'm taking a breather or am about to explode from so much food. As long as your card showed green they continued to serve food and do so promptly and regularly. Choices were plentiful for different types of beef, chicken, pork and lamb. Pace yourself at the salad bar so that you'll have room for the variety of meats, each prepared rare, medium or well done. The only issue we had is it took us about 20-30 minutes to get our dessert after we ordered it and had to ask the waitress 2-3 times about it. The dessert (chocolate cake) was very good once we got it. We will be back.

I had dinner here with business associates in March. Very nice interior and booths lend themselves to having conversations in a normal voice and not having to shout. The wait staff was very attentive but not overly so. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked to the temperature requested and I would highly recommend the creamed corn as a side as it is delicious!

What a great spot. Service was great, extensive menu, good wine list, and the food was delicious. Fresh seafood and nice steaks. The Chef wouldn't serve one of the fish items because it didn't meet his quality standard! I loved this place. Definitely one of the best in the area and worth repeat visits

Had a conference across the river at the Hyatt and when in town always visit Ruth Chris Steak house. Went here twice during my trip in May. The first I got the NY strip- medium- always tasty and made perfectly and the second trip got the crabcakes- wow- so delicious! The staff was great and can never go wrong with Ruth's famous gin and tonic!

We flew into Jacksonville and asked the rental car agent for the best place for seafood. She recommended The Capital Grille. We were not disappointed! The ambiance, the waitstaff, the seafood and the steak, all were fantastic! Our waiter, Alex, was truly professional. We were still on Texas time and didnât realize we were arriving at closing time. No one said a word until I asked about the lack of guests. It was past closing. Truly fantastic service, especially for being after hours. The steak was perfect. The lobster bisque divine. My wife had scallops that were beyond fabulous! The birthday dish was a touch that put it beyond the top. We will be back!

I had reservations about spending that much money per person. However I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of quality food that was absolutely delicious. first their selections for the salad bar/appetizers were large and we sampled much of their offerings. all excellent. then came time for the meats. Wow! both flavor and tenderness were 10 out of 10. Each type of cut was different and fabulous in their own way. I really was blown away by the taste and flavor. and the service was absolutely outstanding. couldn't believe how they were quickly present each time we needed anything. Yes the restaurant was pricey but you will not have this kind of unique gastronomic experience just anywhere. Go ahead and splurge; you will not be disappointed.
