Fast, easy. But they ran out of dark meat (classic). Sides were good (Corn and Slaw). Everyone had something slightly different and everyone left full. Very inexpensive.
Was told the snack bar in the bowling alley served the best food in town. Decided to check it out. The locals were right. There was 4 of us and we all had a different variety of hamburger. Mine was a hamburger basket with everything on it and opted for the onion rings instead of the fires for an additional cost. Man those onion rings were good. Hamburger was delicious and a large quantity of beef. You didn't have to ask "Where's the beef". All the burgers were delicious. The fries were excellent also. Next time we need to try the wings as we were told they are the best. Restaurant area was very clean, TV was broad casting a football game. Our waiter, Larry, was such a delight to visit with, we talked about where all of us were from, where we were headed (full-time RV'ers), he ask our names and told us a little about his self and the bowling alley, family business. What a pleasant time all of us had. Larry SR. cashed us out and he is a gem, felt like we were old friends. Can't tell you about the bowling alley as we didn't bowl and it was before leagues came in, but were told the leagues were keeping them busy. We leave the area tomorrow but plan to return and will be headed back to the bowling alley for another meal. Had a pretty wide variety on the menu. Everything looked good.

Our party of 9 showed up about 10 minutes before the doors opened at 4 on a Saturday. No problem getting seated as we were the first to walk through the door. Service was quick with our drink orders and the chips and salsa. Salsa was bland even for the people in our group that don't do spicy. Three of us order a combo plate and they all came out lukewarm, plates were hot, food was not, sent back and they returned nice and hot. One other dish wasn't as hot as it should of been since it was a deep fried item. The monster burger is just that, a one pound burger and it really looked good and was told it was one of the better burgers he has eaten. Everyone else was happy with their meal and the service. We would go back when in the area. Waitress did a great job taking care of all of us. Restaurant very clean.

It was our first visit to Materâs Steakhouse. I had the grill chicken and my husband had a sirloin steak. The chicken was delicious. My husband said his steak was cooked perfectly. The crinkle fries were not so good but everything else very good. The service was great. We will definitely be Return customers.

When is âa little lunchâ not a LITTLE lunch? When you go to Wauchula Family Restaurant. $7.95 buys you a whale of a fish lunch here. Special of the day: Grouper Fingers $7.95. This special cones with a very nice, fresh salad and two sides. Did I tell you it was only $7.95? It also comes with hush puppies, little balls of dough deep fried. There were four âfingersâ of fish plus my two sides. After eating my salad my hunger was pretty satisfied. I had their Soup of the Day as one side and french fries as the second. I chose to eat most of the salad, half of the soup, half of the fries and all the grouper. I just couldnât eat anymore. This meal, with two drinks (free refills) cost me less than a trip to a fast-food restaurant! Wow! Talk about getting your moneyâs worth!!!

We went for breakfast on a Saturday. I had biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were soft (I prefer crispy) but the dish was good. Wife had a Greek omelet which came with potatoes cubes that were deep fried. She said it was OK. The place had a good atmosphere and was not crowded nor empty. We may visit again, but will also try other places in town to compare.

Stopped in for lunch and were greeted and seated immediately. Drinks came right away and orders taken and delivered to us quickly. Portions were outrageously huge and we each had enough to bring home for two more meals. Catfish and country fried steak highly recommended, as well as the soup and salads. Each meal came with corn but would have preferred a choice of some other vegetable. Waitress was very attentive. Only downfall was the iced tea, which I sent back because it tasted like sulfur water. Asked for a coke, it tasted the same way. We will definitely return for the food.
