Dined here several times and always order a Jalea Mixta. The seafood is lightly battered, deep fried and drained before being served, grease free! The accompanying salsa is filled with onion, chili, cilantro and lime. A couple of fried Yucca wedges to complement a wonderful dish. This was a pickup as we were watching the ballgame. It tasted equally as good 10 minutes later, as it did when we get it served in the restaurant

Usually love Dos Amigos. Tonight was ok - not great by any means. Restaurants should realize how important the attitude of the Server is - on your overall quality. Our server was hurried and minimally pleasant. The food was ok - the plates are hot but the food was luke-warm. I have to say the drinks are great.

Cielito Lindo Restaurant

Cielito Lindo has their beginning in the spring of 1985 when we opened our first restaurant in Pompano Beach. Then, as now, each dish was faithfully created from favorite recipes passed down from generation to generation and brought with us from Mexico. O

Located in an industrial area. Colorful decorations in the dining room. Very noisy. The interior walls, ceiling and floor are rock solid and reverberate the conversational din rather than absorb it. It must be difficult to carry on a conversation here when it's busy. Lots of menu items. Reasonable prices. Good service. I ordered the chicken burrito with rice, beans and guacamole. A very tasty entrée. Plenty of food. The salsa that accompanied the chips was too runny and weak on flavor. My rating is actually a 3 1/2.Hola, we are thrilled to hear that you loved our food and service! We will certainly share your concerns in our next company meeting to see where we can make improvements. Thank you for your time and consideration and we look forward to serving you again soon!

This is one of those places that you would drive by and not even give a second glance to. We happened to discover it at the Taste of Oakland Park and decided to come and check it out.The restaurant is a stand-alone building that is non descript. The interior is small, but the staff is very warm and friendly. This restaurant specializes in Mexican and Salvadoran foods. We started our meal with Horchata, which is a blend of rice milk and cinnamon and our first time ever having it. It was YUMMY and comes in a huge glass. Each table is served chips, which were warm and crispy, and a homemade salsa. The salsa was very good. Not too spicy, but has a slight kick. For starters we tried the Sweet Corn Tamales (it was like eating a dessert!) and a bean Pupusa, which is a traditional Salvadoran corn tortilla stuffed with items of your choice. It comes with this wonderful sauce and cabbage mix to be placed on top. It wasn't greasy at all and I would definitely recommend to try it. For the main entries we had the Grilled Chicken Breast that is topped with grilled peppers and onions. The chicken is wonderfully seasoned and I like the fact that it is grilled. It is accompanied with black beans (AMAZING FLAVOR) and a rice that has some mixed vegetables in it. Delicious! The other dish we tried was the Salvadoran Steak in Red Sauce, which is sauteed with onions, peppers, and tomatoes. Highly Recommended! The sauce almost tastes like an Italian tomato sauce and goes well with everything. I even liked it on my chicken. The steak was perfectly cooked as well. This, too, is accompanied with black beans and rice plus fried plantains. Definitely a Winning Dish!Portions are large and we, unfortunately, had no room for dessert. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND coming to check it out. Don't be fooled by looks on the outside, as inside, is definitely a treat for your taste buds!PS - If this review was useful, please click the HELPFUL button on your phone or you can click the THANK YOU button on your computer.
