Cuban cousine. Cocina cubana
Excellent, authentic food; very friendly and fast. Cute little place with 12 tables. I flew in as a pilot to the FXE airport and took the courtesy car over. Great location if your near Fort Lauderdale Airport and need great food in a hurry. They wouldn't even accept a tip!

Cuban Restaurant in Central Fort Lauderdale, FL serving delicious and home style Cuban cooking that captures the essence of Florida's Caribbean lifestyle. The restaurant operates out of proprietor, Valdes' house. Weather for a quick sandwich stop, or for
first visit to a place I have wanted to go for quite awhile. we ordered 2 cubano sandwiches, plus rice/beans. very big sandwich, quite good. surprised that there was quite a bit of seating, all outside (I believe). on street, bar stools at counter. very colorful place, music could have been a bit more Latin for my taste, and very nice waitress. not a comfy upscale place, but outstanding food.

We arrived here at 8:00pm. The first three dishes we asked for they were out. We should have left at that moment, but we didn't. Ordering was so complicated because two helpers decided to be attending two different customers, and then criss-crossed. That was extremely frustrating to both customers who needed to repeat once and agian what they wanted and what they didn't, but it made also the attendants feel frustrated and start mistreating the customers and putting whatever ingredient in the orders. Crazy that they operate their business like this.

We had the good fortune to drive on SR7 and spot a huge roti restaurant that caught our attention. We were overwhelmingly pleased and satisfied. The entree can be served on rice or different roti wraps. We had the curry goat with the fluffy roti wrap and it was delicious!!! Take out or sit down, with excellent service. Very reasonable prices and a great vibe. The curry goat had a very great depth of flavour and can't wait to try the other dishes. The meat 'pies' were excellent.

I went here with a certificate from Restaurant.com. It was not what I expected, and was almost like being in Kingston, Jamaica. This is not a traditional sit down restaurant, but is actually a take-out place; although there is a public table for customers to eat at. It is traditional Jamaican seafood and chicken. The line was long, which showed that people are willing to wait. The woman behind the counter was very helpful, and she answered all my questions about the food. The prices are so cheap, that we actually had to order a lot just to use up the certificate. The food is cooked out back on grills....old country style. This is not the type of cooking and restaurant that I am acquainted with, but it certainly was good and very affordable. I would probably go back. Give it a try! Two rabbit ears up!!(\ (\( -.-)o_(")(")

A small place in a strip mall. The restaurant does a take-out business but also has limited indoor seating. I arrived when it wasn't busy. I ordered and paid at the counter, then took a seat. Loud, lively Trinidadian background music that resembled Jamaican reggae bombarded the room. Normally this would have annoyed me while I dined, but it seemed to fit in with the atmosphere. I started with the vegetable roti entrée. The veggie items (potatoes, green beans, garbanzos, pumpkin and a green leafy veggie that could have been spinach or collard greens) varied in spiciness and flavor. This food was above average. It came with lots of the roti bread.Next was the goat roti, which came with potatoes and green beans. The goat meat was packed with bones and laced with trimmings. It had some flavor, but I couldn't eat much of it because of all the gristle and bones. I left the vast majority of this lousy entrée. I would recommend against anyone getting this. The food wasn't cheap. I have no desire to return.
