Recently celebrated a friends birthday at Tokyo Bay. The drink menu was creative and the drinks were a good size and very good. Beto, our chef for the evening, was excellent. He was good and entertaining. We all ordered a combination dinner which comes with appetizer, soup, salad and the entree. All were delicious. But, by all means, save room for dessert. We tried fried cheesecake (my favorite), fried bananas with vanilla I ice cream and, of course, birthday cake which was large enough for the six of us.

I was craving Vietnamese food so badly during my trip, I begged my family to try out this place since I was so deprived of Vietnamese food.PARKING: They have their own huge parking lot. Plenty of spaces open, not hard to find.RESTAURANT: It is actually larger than it looks but it is incredibly dark inside. Not a romantic kind of dim, but creepy because they don't have enough lights, I felt like I was almost in a cave.MENU: They have a lot of traditional Vietnamese dishes, which includes rice, soups, noodles, etc. I ended up just ordering their Rare Pho, which is about $9 a bowl. My food took some time to arrive, but the restaurant was a bit busy so it's understandable. The Pho itself was okay. They gave out very little meat, probably about 5 pieces and they weren't the thinly sliced beef I'm used to. Instead, they used small beef chunks, which i thought was weird. The broth, however, was honestly very good for what they have. It resembled a lot of the Pho I would have back in Westminster and I was happy to have that out there.Overall experience here was okay. The service was incredibly slow, as they seem to be understaffed. However, the Pho was honestly very good. I was pretty satisfied with my bowl.

Located in a shopping center with outdoor seating. Nicely decorated with an extensive lunch menu in addition to a regular menu. We Pepper Beef and Pad See Ew. Both were served with a side of soup. The hot and sour soup was outstanding and I highly recommend it. The vegetables were crispy and great tasting. Service was good and reasonably priced.

Maguro Sushi & Steak House

Took some time off from Maguro’s to test other Naples’ Sushi places. Found two but in-season or had band music and this means filled tables. Even with a reservation it wasn’t a comfortable dinning out expierence. Rotating back to Maguro’s. The Wiggins Pass strip mall their in is open again with no construction barriers. (Another Aldi Foods location here.)Easy parking now as side grassy lot is now a proper white lined parking lot. Enter off Wiggins Pass or there’s a light on 41 for the mall. Use your GPS. Why should you go here? Well1/2 is a hibachi grill room and I never heard bad things about that. The other 1/2 is a seated bar (with TVs like a sports bar) and booths for its sushi/sashemi bar. If you like Rolls, you’ll like Magiro’s. Little rice !! Excelent fresh fish carved up appropriately for supper tasty rolls. To be clear - rolls are a combination of different fishes. They wrapped them in seaweed, cucumber or avocado skin. The garnish on top or the side are an excellent accompaniment. Everything is described in the menu or on their ‘board’ Superb plate presentation.

We loved the variety here and ended up ordering more than we could eat because there was so much we wanted to try! Their Thai rolls were fantastic (and so was the dipping sauce) and the fried tofu appetizer (part of their happy hour specials) was cooked perfectly. I got the green salad with both the ginger and peanut dressings- and both were fantastic! The ginger was smoother than I’ve had other places, with a citrusy note and the peanut was sweet with a little kick at the end. My mom got the pineapple fried rice and although it didn’t have much shrimp, she thought the rice itself was delightful! And she had plenty leftover for a later meal.Although the menu looked dressier to us, the vibe is very casual and friendly.
