Bev's is popular for out of town visitors, but the locals rarely go there. Food service is terribly slow and most servers are not well trained, some even just starting. The menu is simple enough, but no care is provided when selecting better quality food products. The tea is weak, food sometimes served cold and most folks wait way too long for their check at the end of their visit. There are better places to eat in High Springs. Avoid this one.

Fine Dining, Comfort Food, Asian Fusion, Chinese. Operated by Chinese national certified Chef & Nutritionist.
We've been here once before and thought the food was great. We went back again and it was even better. This can't be called the usual Chinese restaurants it is a totally different dining experience. First the food is many levels better than a Chinese take-out/ eat in place. The lovely music and nice decor is also a plus. The servings are huge and every mouthful is a true delight! I could easily "forget" how to cook if I thought it would work!

If you got there when it's not too busy, the service is good and the food is excellent. If you get there on a busy time be prepared for a LONG wait for your order.

Had high hopes about this place because of the building style and TripAdvisor sticker on entry door along with the great decor. Disappointment set in when 3 of the 4 dishes arrived and we waited a good few minutes before the easiest one showed up - a chicken Cesar salad. The chicken was really dry according to my daughter. My wife ordered a Ruben sandwich and arrived with tiny square slices of corned beef that looked to be pan fried and sprinkled inside of a sour kraut sandwich. The other plate was a cheese hamburger and fries which was ok, the French fries were good.My plate was hash with eggs over easy - nothing to brag about. The server wasnât personable or particularly friendly.Thank you for taking the trouble to provide a review for The Diner. So sorry that you had a bad experience with some of your food and service. We encourage customers to "flag" up any issues they may have when their food arrives so that we can rectify matters there and then. It would be useful to understand when you visited The Diner so that we may identify the server. Very sorry for your experience, this is not the norm, but would like to investigate this occurrence further. Thank you once again for your review.

While camping for the weekend we went into High Springs to explore downtown and get lunch. After looking Bevâs was #2 on TripAdvisor and we were in the mood for a hamburger. Bevâs did not disappoint, our burger and fries were excellent. Service was a little slow but they were extremely busy so it was understandable. Given the opportunity we would go back. Great lunch spot.

Nothing fancy here, but my Captains Platter of fried shrimp, scallops, and white fish was excellent. (Conch fritters were soggy and I left those on my plate). Even the French fries, slaw, and onion rings were notable. We also tried the Ginnie, a BBQ bacon cheeseburger. A well executed if underseasoned effort. Decor seems intentionally dated with plenty of space inside and out. Although there isnât much to select from in the area, this is worth the #1 TA rating. Expect $15-25 a plate for entrees and $10-16 for a sandwich.
