Classical American restaurant proposing (mainly) meat and salads but also some pastas. Freezing temperature inside (while it is hot outside), remember to bring a pull or a jumper to avoid cold/pneumonia. Quick service. Free Wi-Fi available. Personnel polite and helpful. Recommended the Ribeye (medium): soft and tasty. Pasta Alfredo was also a good choice (reinforced portion). Average price. Unfortunately, we found an insect (moth) in the Caesar salad.

Huge menu of frozen cheap deep fat fried food and microwave re-heats. Nothing fresh. Standard of high end service and etiquette is appalling, or non existent. Its not acceptable to serve main dishes to the table when the starters are still being eaten. Would be a great candidate for Gordon Ramseys Kitchen Nightmares on TV.After having paid the bill the aggressive and probably drunk manageress confronted us outside as to why we did not leave a tip!! Apparently in her eyes shocking quality and poor service deserves a reward..good luck with that one.May well be up to American expectation levels but in the European and rest of the world of real food and service its a disaster

I have to admit, my last review was horrible. Since then, management changed, I gave them another chance and I was happy. That was until recently. The last two time I ordered, it was delivered. It was ok, but seemed to be declining from when management first changed.Today, I called ahead on my way home from work. Large, thin-crust, sausage, onion & peppers; well done. 15 minutes. I arrived early, no problem, don't rush it; well-done.As I waited, the server chatted with another employee who was eating. There was one other table and they left. I watched the server pour a Bud Light into a paper cup and bring it back to the kitchen. While the pizza was timely, it was wrong. I searched for the sausage and found 3 or 4 small clumps but nothing more. I shouldn't have to search for toppings costing me $1.75 each! The thin-crust only existed in the very middle. It was spun too much and very doughy on the edge and slimy in the middle (could not be picked up). Poor pizza making to be sure.So the guy comes out of the kitchen telling me how he spun the dough and cut it down (I've made thousands of pies and speak the lingo), so I agreed I might be wrong, but what about the sausage. He started searching for it when I pointed out that it should be that hard! I started to leave, but thought about how I was being treated. I said I wanted a new pie made the way I asked. He looked at the server, asked how I paid and told her to give me a refund. He said, and I quote, "I don't give a (fword)!" WOW! He wouldn't tell me his name but he said he was the owner. WOW!I took his picture as well as pictures of the pie. I tried to call Tavernier, but they don't seem to be listed. Key Largo didn't answer my calls. I'm heartbroken as I loved Jersey Boardwalk Pizza since I was first introduced to them about 10 years ago. I was born and raised in New Jersey and this was a little piece of Heaven in south Florida. Well, that went to hell. Ironic.I've posted pictures (if this review even gets approved).

Our server Eric was professionally efficient and a lot of fun! he helped us with the happy hour specials... the wine was buy one get one we had a blast! great food ...great pizza great service! We stopped in again a few days later for the great happy hour and sat with our bartender Talia.... another great experience she was fun and professional! The manager Rick stopped by the bar to make sure we had everything we needed and we told him what a great place Portofino is. We went here on a Sunday night and were greeted in a welcoming manner, seated quickly and served by a friendly and efficient waiter. We were offered a sample of wine which we enjoyed and were pleased that the waiter, although disappointed that we did not order a glass, remained polite and helpful. The restaurant was very busy but service was quick and our waiter returned many times to check on our table. We enjoyed our entrees and felt they were, actually, better than those that we get at the Olive Garden at home.
