We have been looking for "this" restaurant for two years. Since relocating here from Penna. we have been looking for just this restaurant. One with good service, friendly (almost family) atmosphere, great food, varied menu, prepared to perfection (you get what you pay for) and not over priced! Who could ask for more? We had two appetizers, the calamari and garlic octopus. Best calamari ever, tender and tasty and the octopus was so tender.....delicious, first time for octopus! I had the pork and little neck clams and my daughter made the roasted garlic octopus her meal...everything was yummy. Desert was "sawdust" (can't spell the Portuguese word for it), delish! We loved it and you will too. Try it and you will become regulars.

Rumor has it that there is some mighty fine Northern Italian food in....Bunnell Florida? My girlfriends and I are ready to find out. We get together once a month for dindin so I suggested Osteria Rustica. This is our first road trip, reservations made for 5:45, we're off to experience fine dining in Bunnell! The word Osteria in Italian translates to a restaurant serving wine and simple food. We made it with minutes to spare, our table was ready set for 3. made me feel like we were expected. The space is small and very homey, think Italian countryside. Our server made some recommendations for appetizers we settled on Buratinna, hope I spelled that right. This beautiful plate is centered with a fresh ball of burrita surrounded by roasted sweet peppers ripe tomato wedges, baked artichoke hearts, wedges of sweet gorgonzola, golden raisins and pecans. This burrata was so beautifully creamy, so much more more complicated than fresh mozzarella with the addition of stracciatella and cream stuffed inside the ball of mozzarella. There were a sprinkling of herbs and maybe some strands of saffron on top to add some color. Truly enjoyed every morsel! Our server suggested the table side caesar salad, we said yes and so glad we did! Beautifully mixed and served at our table, and the only thing I saw used in the dressing that I had not seen used before on others was balsamic reduction, which made the dressing so rich I wanted to lick my plate! Lets go to our entrees next. Two of us ordered the Pappa Aragosta, homemade pappardelle in a saffron cream sauce with bits of shrmip, surrounded with a lovely pesto and topped with a generous topping of perfectly poached Lobster be still my heart! My other friend ordered the Troula de la Rustica, a beautiful dish sauteed rainbow trout with, zuchinni asparagus and roasted potatoes, amazing! Lets talk desert, the pastry chef came to talk to us and we had to try her recommendation. We loved her cherry chocolate gelatto, paired with a pillow of pastry that produced a liquid chocolate with pear, surprise and so delicious! I know this is a long review, but I believe this establishment deserves this and more! Brava!
