Woodlands is a decent vegan restaurant to dine if vegetarian food is the only choice for you and your family. However, please be aware of some of our positive and negative experiences, especially when you visit this place with a family of small children. We, a family of four adults and 5 children( ages 7,8,9,11,and 13) recently visited this place and I would like to share our experience:Positive:1. Self-serving buffet (North Indian Style)- Decent food for north Indian vegan food lovers but my kids hardly enjoyed any food except batura pieces, jamun and a mango drink.Negatives:1. Slightly Overpriced Vegetarian Buffet: $14.95 per person excluding taxes during weekends.2. Kids 9 and above must pay the adult price even if they don't really taste even 1/10th of the food varieties. I'm not sure if it's worth at all taking small kids to this restaurant! This shouldn't be a surprise for your family next time!3. 18% mandatory gratuity will be charged for any parties of 6 or more (doesn't matter if it's a self-served buffet or if it's slightly a big family). I always pay a decent amount as tip but this mandatory tipping sounds like a deterrent except in a prime tourist spot where you get new customers each time!

We have been wanting to stop at India House and we finally did. In a way we were disappointed. The service was very good. The server was patient and courteous. He was very attentive. The restaurant interior is beginning to be dated and old looking.We ordered chicken tandoori and lamb briyani. My wife thought the chicken tandoori was too spicy. We have been going to Indian restaurants for decades and most of the time the tandoori are mildly spiced. If the tandoori entrees are not mild then, usually, the server will ask the degree of spiciness. It does not matter to me because I enjoy the spicier versions of Indian cuisine. She had to take the chicken tandoori home for me to have as a meal.The lamb briyani was nicely spiced. It is one of my five favorite entrees to order when eating Indian food.The portions for the chicken tandoori and lamb briyani was ample. There are two large pieces of naan and it was very good.India House is easy to reach. It is just south of Sunrise Boulevard on the west side of University Drive.

This is an excellent walk-in, eat, walk-out vegetarian staple near the office parks in Sunrise. I dine here about once a week and thoroughly enjoy each and every visit. The co-workers that I've brought with me are always impressed with the variety, taste and price of the food available on Udipi's daily buffet. This is a great value in lunch dining for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Their hospitality is always friendly and warm. The owner-operator is never far away and looks after everything to ensure quality. Anyone who has had any experience different from mine should give Udipi another try. Be sure to try a mango lassi!
