After drinks one evening, we went to Ethos for dinner. The weather was perfect to sit outside, plus inside was very bright and noisy. Despite many empty outdoor tables, we were told that only the tables under the canopy were available, due to "possible rain". Really? This is south Florida in the summer. No sign of pending rain. The canopy wouldn't protect anyone in a FL rainstorm, if one hit. We were told 25 minute wait. So we waited. When the tables cleared, two parties were seated before us. The third table stayed empty. When we asked, we got the punchline...Ethos didn't have enough servers to even seat us, a party of two, at the third table. IMHO, that was the reason all along. We were too angry to stay. Why insult us with a lie? There are many other restaurants nearby. Why is this popular restaurant tragically understaffed? We won't be going there again.Good evening Karen, Thank you for reviewing us. I want to first and foremost apologize for your experience with us today. We always have to take precaution when it comes to Florida weather, as you may know rain can come and go very quickly, we monitor the weather through out the day and make executive decisions to close off certain sections of our patio for the safety of our staff and our guests. There is nothing more chaotic than a rainstorm suddenly hitting while our guests and our wait staff are running for cover. Once we have shut down a section we also release staff members, I believe our hostess miscommunicated this to you, and for that we apologize. We also have a âno waitâ app, which is a system that allows our guests to hop on our waitlist by simply using their mobile phone. This might explain why other parties were sat before you. I really hope this clears up a few things, and we would love for you to return and give us another try. Please email us so we can speak to you directly [email protected] Thank you again and we look forward to hearing from you!

In area for a meeting and without tons of what we considered viable options thanks to the App we came across âItâs All Greek to Me Grillâ in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The Falafel appetizer was good as were the Chicken Pita and Greek Salad with Chicken. The Tzatziki was really good. The only downer was the Hummus; lacked taste and flavor. Good service.

Yiayia's is close to home but I haven't had a chance to make it in until last night. It's in a strip plaza on Atlantic Ave next to Pasta And ... The restaurant is cozy with Greek accents like pictures of Greece, Greek statues, and a shield on the wall. For a strip mall restaurant I was impressed with how inviting they had made the interior. There is also outside dining on the sidewalk if you prefer. I was tired from work so I opted for take out meals. I ordered garlic shrimp ($20), souvlaki dinner ($14), and baklava ($6). The shrimp dinner had 5 large shrimp, rice pilaf, and green beans with carrots and mushrooms. The souvlaki dinner had two chicken shish kebabs or pork if that's your preference, rice pilaf, lemon potato, and green beans, carrots, and mushrooms. The meals were secured in plastic containers. Everything was delicious, fresh, and healthy. I really loved the baklava which came swimming in syrup. It was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. I look forward to coming back and dining inside this summer when I have more time. I want to try some of their Greek specialties like pastichio and mousssaka. It is great to have this elevated Greek restaurant in the neighborhood.
