We were seated at 6:30 but didnât receive service till 7:00 pm. Should have taken that as a precursor of what was to follow and left. Bland tasting food with high prices and slow service delivered in a sterile environment with annoyingly loud electronic music thumping in the background. Wonât be returning.

A gem sitting directly on Choctawhatchee Bay at the southern foot of the 331 bridge, The Bay is Chef Jim Shirley's latest South Walton sensation. The family-friendly restaurant features mouth-watering Southern gulf coast cuisine, sushi, a 12-draft beer sy
My husband and I went there yesterday for a drink, thinking about staying for the music and bonfire. On entering restaurant we noticed a very strong smell of Garlic and grease not appetizing We were seated on the patio had a great view waited for around 10 minutes no server , we thought ok no table service my husband went to the bar and ordered our drinks, bartender did not utter one word except to give the total, while he was at the bar waitress came I said husband getting drinks, she then chastised me saying we have table service to which I said well no one waited on us ,and she said well I was not told I had a table , told her no big deal , she then asked if we were having dinner said no ,she grabbed the menus and left.First and last visitWe are very sorry to hear this and apologize that our service was not up to par. Would you please reach out to our GM - Joe Beane - at [email protected], with your contact info so he can get in touch and make this right? Thank you for the feedback. Arrived at the restaurant around 5:20, did not get seated until almost 6:40. 3 adults, 5 kids in the party. Ordered 2 glasses of wine, which were forgotten. Eventually I had to remind the server about the wine and he did apologize for forgetting. Appetizer included avocado and crab flatbread which was simply mediocre. Would not order again. Kids meals were steak, Mac n cheese, grouper bites and chicken strips. Steak was a little tough, grouper bites and Mac n cheese were good. Adult meals were catch of the day, stuffed seabass and snapper. Catch of the day was well prepared. Seabass was good but different than the normal thick filet presentation. It was a whole seabass stuffed with crab. Maybe my expectations were too high. Snapper was good. Overall, the service was just really slow. Took us forever to get our food. With 5 young kids who were starving, it was a bit painful waiting to be served relatively simple meals. Not sure we would return.
