It’s a family-owned Chinese takeout restaurant since 1981. The owners are originally from Hong Kong. At the restaurant, my favorite is the shrimp fried rice, fried chicken wings, and tempura shrimp. They don’t skimp out in the fresh ingredients and portions unlike most or all Chinese takeouts. They’re actually an abundace of fresh shrimp, bean sprouts, onions, and scallions in the fried rice cooked to perfection. As for the fried chicken wings, it is seasoned with the family secret recipe. When I order mine, I like my wings ultra-crispy which is their standard. Their wings for me is addicting. I’m not going to lie. There is no breading on the wings to coverup the deliciousness and no sauce needed, it is that good. They have a variety of wings such as honey wings and regular fried wings. But, it seems like their wings is one of their signature dishes as well as the ham fried rice. The tempura shrimp is super delicious too. But overall, everything in their menu is quite phenomenal. I have to say their super-clean kitchen is the very first and only Chinese takeout where you can see right through. You can see them cook your food fresh right before your eyes. The family who owns the restaurant, they’re very personable and friendly. You feel like family when you come in and seem to know their patrons by name who’ve been repeat customers since they first opened almost 40 years ago. So, when I am in the Miami-area, I am sure to make the Hong Kong House my first stop to satisfy my food-cravings. When you place your order, the lady with glasses who works the front counter is quite entertaining and comedic. Her brothers who work the woks in the kitchen are responsible for making all the delicious dishes on the menu.

This place is a little while in the wall and busy. Strictly on food I don’t get it but price and ease I guess it can fly. Food - 3They offer authentic Chinese food with shortcuts. Instead of stewing, brewing and slow cooking, shortcuts are taken with using artificial spices. Beef noodle soup, instead of taking the slow cooking approach with natural herbs they use 5 spice powder for the flavors. All tastes are close to authentic but lazy. Service - 3Nothing special here. Will get better served if you speak Mandarin Chinese. Atmosphere - 3Just a dirty hole in the wall. Don’t expect white tablecloth dining then you won’t be disappointed with wobbly tables and plastic sofa seats. Only if I’m hungry, craving Chinese food and within a 3 block radius. If those stars don’t align, no.

King Palace Chinese Bar-B-Q Restaurant

King Palace is our favorite Chinese restaurant in SE Florida. The pan fried dumplings are exceptional. We normally order three orders of 6 for two couple. Frankly, they are so tasty we could make an entire meal out of these dumplings. The Singapore rice noodles are also great, as are their string beans with roast pork. Their shrimp dishes are made with large, firm and tasty shrimp so these dishes are also terrific. Service is wonderful. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food. Just a great dining experience overall.
