I loved this place. Go and ask for Phillip. He was incredible and kept us laughing. I ordered grilled shrimp and my husband ordered the blackened Mahi Mahi. They were both excellent choices. Phillip also suggested the shrimp rangoons, which I was skeptical about but they were creamy, spicy, and sweet all at the same time. I would go back just for those! We sat outside beside the water and it was the perfect ambiance for our date.

My wife and I went for our anniversary. Oysters on the half shell outstanding. View would have been outstanding if not for the unwashed glass room, nasty windows . Seemed real warm in restaurant guess the person that cleans the windows also works on the AC....wait staff was wonderful if not for her and the Oysters it would have been a total loss.. Main course...was ok fish was over cooked and too thin to be grouper as promised...was hoping for a lot better.. next time I guess we will stick to the fresh Oysters and keep it simple

We tried this place for lunch. It definitely was a disappointing visit. Food was okay nothing really wow. Service was terrible, it took us more than a hour for everything to come to our table. Our server wasn't the problem. She was good. The problem was the kitchen getting backed up. I can understand a kitchen getting backed up for dinner, not sure how or why the kitchen got backed up for lunch. Probably won't return again.

Went here on the recommendation of some guys working at the nearby Air Force Base who have eaten at many local restaurants. They told us that it was rustic and it was but that is part if the charm. Don't let the initial impression of the place scare you off.You can eat inside or outside with water views. You order and pay at the bar, then seat yourself and they will find you to bring your food to you.We had 1/2 lb peel and eat shrimp which were nicely seasoned and properly cooked. We also had a shrimp basket with fried shrimp, hush puppies, fries, and slaw. It was obviously that it was freshly prepared for us. Diet Cokes with free refills. If you are an oyster fan, this is the place for you. We aren't, but there was a line forming with people ordering them and they looked amazing

I've been coming here for 15 years. Never had a poor meal. Never had poor service. This is a local gem with excellent fresh seafood and enjoyable water views. Lunch on Friday was no exception. Christal, our server, was cheerful and engaging. Our go-to choice of fried shrimp basket was hot, fresh, crispy and flavorful. Perfect texture on the Gulf shrimp. Another favorite meal is the Coconut Chicken (or shrimp) Salad. There's so much going on in that plate with flavors and textures. Yum. Daily specials never disappoint. For weekend brunch try fish and grits. Honestly, you cannot make a bad choice here. It's where we bring visitors and work groups, and where we go for special occasion meals.Thank you, Sunshine_traveler57, for your wonderful review of The Boathouse Landing! We are so happy to hear that time after time, we are able to impress you. We appreciate your kind words and your loyalty more that you know. We are looking forward to your next visit.

Had family visiting and we all had a wonderful experience! We chose inside dining...outside waterside dining would be a great option in cooler (mosquito-free) weather. The restaurant is at the head of Boggy Bayou at the marina and the scenery is beautiful. Service was fast and friendly. Adults tried âThe Loafâ...smoked meatloaf and the âGroubenâ...a grouper Reuben (on sourdough, not rye), kids had burgers and popcorn shrimp basket (shrimp tasted nice and fresh and were larger than popcorn size!). We all agreed that the grouper Reuben was our favorite. Although the music was a little too loud to have comfortable dinner conversation, we had a good time and will be back.
