Casual, Classy, Comfort Restaurant serving American cuisine, Seafood, and Steaks. Happy Hour 2pm -5pm Tuesday through Saturday. Early Bird Menu 3pm - 5 pm Tuesday through Sunday
This great little secret has the best Louisiana oysters Iâve found-raw or most importantly the best oysters Rockefeller Iâve ever had. This restaurant has live entertainment both in the freshwater/marsh canal alongside the al fresco dining area and on the sound music stage outside. The owner an old sailor retired California/Colorado pharmacist takes real pride in his offerings which are all tops. The casino oysters are new and delicious. The fried calamari is the best in the area and the fresh fish is beyond description. When youâve died and gone to fish heaven this must be where you wind up. You can feed the fish and green turtles the leftovers ; since youâll lick your plate leftovers may be scarce. Nothing formal-they open at 12:00 noon. The orders of French fries are copious and wonderful for a commercial fry. As with all restaurants stay away from items that you can get away from the sea-remember even the Cove has to ship in those wonderful oysters. If someone you know doesnât like oysters this may change his taste. Itâs hard to explain what makes a good experience at a restaurant but the chefs here the entertainers the host really care-which equals a great time. Price is reasonable like $12.99 for a dozen raw or another $4 for Rockefeller twelve of which make a meal. The Cove is worth the trip. Since,as all restaurants they make their most money at the outside bar there is variety of drink.

Stopped here on a Friday afternoon, just before the arrival of the dinner crowd. Had a beastly day, so was just looking for some comfort food. Swiss cheeseburger deluxe, why not? They nailed it, and the serving size was very generous. Toss down a few cold brews, enjoy the people watching at their Tiki Bar, and a bad day is now good. Fun place!

I have just returned home from my first and last ever visit to an Applebeeâs restaurant. The beginning of the visit began with an abrupt welcome as we sat down, followed by a drinks order which arrived to the table incorrectly and then blamed on us, the customer! The food was served in a timely manner and initially started off well...that was until a long hair was found tangled within my tomato pasta! I informed the waitress and she offered a measley apology with a replacement meal, which I obviously declined. I was told the two managers were probably busy which was why they didnât come to apologise, not impressed. The rest of the party finished their food and we asked for the bill.Upon receiving the bill and card machine for payment our waitress, Samantha N, had kindly set the tip percentage to 20%. Given the service was less than acceptable we decided not to tip which is not something we would usually do, however, felt on this occasion it was appropriate. As we stood up to leave the restaurant our waitress shouted out to us âdo you not tip in your countryâ followed by comments about it not being her fault the hair was there and that the managers didnât come over to apologise. She then proceeded to tell us âto go back to where we came fromâ! Startled and terribly disappointed by the service we had received we swiftly left the premises and will never be going back!By far the worst American dining experience I have ever received! Do not visit!

When husband gets the mussel munchies, Zig Zag is where we head. It's close, it's never too crowded, and on a nice evening one can sit outside by the water and chill out. The mussels are always a hit. But we were there on a Wednesday night and they were having pasta specials. She had the pasta with sausage, chicken, sun dried tomatoes, and broccoli over penne. It was wonderful, and only $12.95. The portion was very large (enough to take home for lunch the next day). Their chowder is not to be missed. It's nice to have a local place one can count on for great service and consistently good food.

We had the mussles dinner in white clam sauce. OMG, I'm a New Englander...I've grown up on fresh clams, cherry stones, steamers, littlenecks, etc. This dinner was a TEN. Service a ten. The Gator outside our table...aka..Bucky...ouch.fun! Dont miss this awesome spot. We loved everything. Not to ever be passed up....promise you will be delighted! Thanks, Kathy and Rich
While the inside of this bar isn't huge, there is a large bar, some tables along the wall, and two large pool tables inside. Outside there's even more covered tables. Smoking is allowed inside! Bikers are welcome! Friendly locals abound! The waitresses and bartenders were very friendly also. Since there's always someone new stopping by to enjoy their food, you don't feel as out-of-place as you would in some small bars where everyone knows everyone else. We felt immediately welcomed.I've heard tales of the great burgers they have, but their Fish Friday Special (5pm-10pm) was what brought us in for the first time. For $5.95 you get coleslaw, two hush puppies and all you can eat battered fish. Finally, after looking for so long for some good fish that doesn't cost an arm & a leg! It was delicious, but the first helping filled me up! I can see now that we are destined to become regulars...They have your basic beer selection and wine coolers, and I think they have wine also, but I didn't see any other liquors...soft drinks were served in cans. The music mostly playing was country & oldies, but they have a little jukebox thing where you can pick your own songs. They have specials throughout the week. For example: Wednesdays you get a free 10" pizza with a bucket or pitcher of beer. $2 Tuesdays-Bottled beer $2 each. I also saw something about an Adult Easter Egg Hunt coming up soon.

First of all, we really like going to Gator's. The atmosphere is upbeat and friendly, the staff is attentive, and the food is good. It's in a convenient location with lots of parking. The place is kept clean, and we've never been kept waiting for long...it's all good. Oh, did I say the food is yummy? Well, it is. But what stands out about Gator's is the very tactful way they handled a bad situation which unfortunately happened while we were there. Without going into detail, a customer had a problem which was affecting other customers, and without a lot of drama, the staff and manager politely took care of the situation. What could have become an ordeal was brought under control by a caring, empathetic staff. This couldn't have been handled any better. That says a lot about a place. This was one of those "make it or break it" moments where it could have gone either way - either we'd be back, or we'd forever avoid the place like the plague. Gator's staff handled this with flying colors - so we definitely went back, and will again the next time we're in the area. Way to go, Gator's!

A little reluctant to go, not sure what to expect from the looks of the outside. I was NOT disappointed!! I highly recommend this restaurant! We were greeted by smiling faces and sat outside overlooking the Weeki Wachee river. Our waitress (Alex) was friendly and attentive! She was knowledgable on the area and answered all of our questions. I had the fish tacos and my husband had the burger, both were excellent! If you are in the area or even if you have to drive, visit you will not be disappointed!!

We've been going to BeckyJack's for years. It will never be the same without Kim and Joe, but Kim's sister and staff are doing a great job carrying on for them. We always pop in whenever we have company because they have to get their "Crunchy Fish Sandwich fix"....lol. Dollar bills have been removed from all over the walls to the ceiling. Doesn't look like as many as there were when they were on the walls, anyhooo, couldn't find mine. We can keep the memory of Kim and Joe alive by continuing to support the torch bearers. Missing Miss Fancy Nancy too. As I always say, especially places like this (tiny) place, save yourself the aggravation, don't go at peak times. Seating inside is extremely limited.Thank you so much for the such kind words. We're following in Joe and Kims footsteps doing our best. We did return every dollar to the ceiling and added a stack that had never been put up. The ones that were torn or partial are on the walls in groups. Next time you're in let us help you find yours!
