Came here for dinner the Friday night after Thanksgiving. We were a party of six. Not small but not super large either. We made a reservation and were seated promptly. That's about where anything good ends. Both the food and the service were terrible. Service was extremely slow and the food came out cold. Must have been sitting around a while for it to be picked up by the server. The soups that were ordered were cold and didn't taste good. I had the 8oz prime rib as my main course. Though it looks good in the picture it was very tough. There was a large line grizzle that ran through it that made it impossible to cut or even chew. The outer rim that is usually the tender and tasty part was dry and tasteless. I didn't even know you could make prime rib that poorly. Would not give them another try.

This restaurant in Ormond by the Sea is a delightful place to enjoy seaside dining. My friend and I wanted a light lunch in a private setting where we could talk. We had vegan sandwiches which were delicious and filling. It was a first time visit for me, but I will be back. I know my friend was disappointed in the fact they discontinued breakfast.

After spending all day on the beach we decided to try out this restaurant. The location was great and the atmosphere was perfect. Service was outstanding. Those are the pluses. I order the scallops in a basket and was told they would be small. They were extremely small and almost tasteless. I had them deep fried which was a mistake, because I think that actually overwhelmed the little guys. The sweet potato fries were more like shoe string size and you could tell they were from a bag of frozen potato's. I will probably give this place another try, but would go for something much simpler like a salad. Price was about right for a beach front establishment.

We are a quick casual, family friendly with something on the menu for everyone. The atmosphere is laid-back, with an island style vibe. We offer a variety of fusion style tacos and burgers, delicious bowls, sandwiches and salads. A world of flavors!
Love the food, manager/owner is a dolt. Computers were down, lady walked up and apologized....Thats kool....Then came back and told us computers were down and could not take orders because the cooks needed the computers to cook the orders up. I GUESS SHE NEVER HEARD OF PAPER AND PENCILS. We told her we would pay cash and still kicked out 30+ people. I guess writing down the order, figuring tax and handing an order to the cooks is what a smart person would do....Obviously she IS NOT smart enough to do that. She just lost a long time customer. Never again will I go to this place to eat.

since we are relocating to Ormond we were looking for a new restaurants to consider and based on reviews tried River grill.... This restaurant is a great find! the food was excellent and value priced!! The view spectacular the staff great energy.... The clientele excellent and people like us.... A perfect combination for a great restaurant experience. This is a large restaurant and serves a lot of people but the facility can accommodate both large groups and small tables of couples like us. very noisy at least on the inside be from Florida we sat on the inside. We have placed this restaurant at the top of our list in Ormond Beach when family and friends come to town! In season, I suspect reservations are needed! Definitely a five rating tonight.... Thank you Tara for an excellent Dining experience.Note: check out specials and happy hour rates for beer wine, and drinks (of course, drive and drink responsibly!!That's absolutely wonderful to hear!!! We appreciate you taking the time to leave us such a wonderfully detailed review!!!!!

\'Grind\to eat or consume food, used mostly when one is very hungry and will eat a lot.DescriptionWith the warmth and ambiance of a 19th century pub and a menu to challenge the trendiest of the 20th century restaurants, Grind is like no other dining exper
On vacation, we wanted something different. Unique menu, but we settled on boring pizza...it was great. Small, plentiful pieces of veggies on a thin crust with great sauce. A superbly pleasant surprise. We are on the older side for the typical clientele of this establishment, but the music was lively and not overpowering (inside) and the server was patient and helpful, best Irish Cider I ever had...

worst nacho's ever in my whole life , high priced , no tvs on the deck area , so if you smoke no football to watch , real let down from what we had heard .Rand, I've carefully read your short review. I want to let you know your experience at Riptides is very uncommon. It is our practice to always give great service and to serve only the best never frozen fish and top-shelf Alaskan snow crab. We take great pride in our product and our staff as you can see by the several excellent reviews we receive online. People rave about the live music on our deck area - 7 nights a week. Smoking is not allowed inside the restaurant, you are correct - it is a state and local ordinance. We work very hard to keep our menu affordable for our guests and to price match our competitors. However, we sell a premium never frozen seafood product unlike most of our competitors. If you notice from our several hundreds of 5 star reviews, we have the best quality of seafood in town. Nearly half our menu is filled with full meals available under $20.00 and several under $12.00. As far as beverages, we offer an extensive 12-page menu full of a variety of beverages to please everyone including $15.00 32oz. rum buckets. We also have several more affordable beers you could have chosen like $2.00 Riptides pilsner pints all day every day and $1.00 pints from 11-4. Our beer menu consists of normal domestic beers, also we provide premium local craft brews on the higher end. Here at Riptides, we have never found anyone who regrets buying the best. You should have received everything you ordered in a reasonable amount of time cooked to perfection. We deeply apologize for the experience that you had and appreciate you taking time out of your vacation to give us your feedback.
