Going to the movies and wanted to eat first. We were seated immediately after arriving and server was at the table soon after, taking our drink orders. We both ordered steaks, mine was the ribeye, wife got the flat iron. Both were cooked to order. Mine was tender and juicy, very tasty. Wife's was a little tough, but good flavor. Overall good meal. Nice place to go, close to theater.

My family and I were traveling into Florida and wanted a seafood restaurant to eat at that we don't have back home. My wife stumbled across Wahoo on the net and my father-in-law was intrigu d with the signs. Our waiter was FANTASTIC. Ronnie made sure we always had drinks, made great suggestions on how to order each different fish from grilled to blackened, fried or seared. My swordfish was hands down the best meal I ate during the trip. My wife originally ordered the salmon burger, but after Ronnie explained the difference between that and salmon sandwich changed her mind. She was very glad she did, it was excellent. Even the regular fish sandwich my son ordered was out of this world. I've never written a review before and felt so strongly about our experience that I couldn't let it go unknown.

We have only been to Blue Gill for lunch but we always read the dinner menu and wonder why we havenât tried the evening meal. They are always so appealing! We were there for lunch today and it was as good as usual. My husband had the Cuban which he pronounced as âdelicious!â I had the open/face tuna melt with fried egg and tomato which was splendid! Good food, good service, relaxed ambiance! What more could we ask?Thank you so much for the glowing review! We look forward to seeing you again for lunch and hopefully dinner as well!

Stone fired is a good way to draw me in. The Italian pizza was good with plenty of veggies and sauce, needed more cheese and cooked a bit more to bubble the cheese. Crust was very good. My sister had a salad, medium which was overflowing the bowl. We were served fresh rolls smothered with Parmesan cheese and floating in a sharp Italian dressing. Service was very good and the beer list was large. I think if you like this type of pizza give it a try. My taste buds needed more.

Iâve been eating at the Gators Den for years - every time Iâm in Gainesville in business. Itâs connected to the Best Western so its very convenient to have so close after a long day of business meetings. Very tasty food (and Iâve tried pretty much everything on their menu).My favourites are the âsmothered chickenâ and their chilli. The wings are good as well.For desert try the raspberry cheesecake - itâs good!The service is actually fantastic! The wait staff are all young - probably college kids - and they are very motivated to ensuring that each customer is happy... it works! I always tip large because the kids that work there try so hard - thatâs important.Itâs always a pleasure eating at the âDenâ and I recommend it whenever you happen to be in the Gainesville Florida area.Thank you for your review and comments. Went as a family and we all got different dishes. Stuffed fried shrimp, St. Augustine fried shrimp, gator tail, blackened grouper sandwich.The food was below average in our opinion. The grouper smelled extra fishy and didnât taste very good. The St. Augustine shrimp was fine, but nothing special. The fries were pretty good. The appetizer bread was decent as well. The gator tail was just average. The best thing was the coleslaw. The clam chowder was not good either and had several meats that we couldnât identify. The tea was another positive.The place didnât have a good smell either. The reviews were pretty good for the place so we gave it a shot. But that was a mistake. I really wanted to like the place but left disappointed.

Seating a lunchtime is always easy in their big dining area. Service is always attentive and quick. Food is consistently excellent. I had the beef brisket, which was smoky, moist and tender. My friend had the blackened catfish, which he enjoyed. Nice range of sides, salads, etc. At night it clearly has a focus on bourbon and other cocktails, but I haven't been there after dark. Dining area is dim on a sunny day, but fine for a business lunch or good-sized social gathering.

Table of about 25. Had to bring over reinforcement to cover drinks and appetizers. Not bad wine by the glass. Started Sazerac was okay the to wine. Had main dish of red fish with shrimp over rice. Nice but not remarkable. Staff struggled to keep up. Odd odor in entire restaurant almost like urine.

Fun place.. We were there move in week for UF.. Got there upon opening at 5, since I read the reviews that it was busy. But the time we left, there was a wait. That was a Thursday night. We had the sweet potato pasta special.. yummy. The pork chop special was moist perfectly cooked. Generous cut. Blackened Chicken sandwich very tasty. Cowboy Cookie for yummy. Good coffee also. lots of vegan choices
