We used to dine there a lot. The last few visits have been disappointing. Their menu has been reduced, the food has really declined, and it has a worn look now. The green beans were still frozen, the server told us they were pre-cooked and he couldnât do anything, but when the manager stopped by he brought us new ones. The squash casserole was no longer available. Server wasnât all that good obviously. One of us never got the salad he ordered, but he got charged for it. When it was brought to the serverâs attention it didnât seem to register. Think weâll hold off for a while. Combined with having to fight and circle round and round a parking place, there are too many new places in TLH to discover.Thank you so much for your feedback, Jan. We are so sorry that your experience did not meet our high standards. Would you be so kind to send your contact information to Paige at [email protected] so a member of our operations team can reach out to invite you in for the experience you deserve? We really value your feedback and hope to hear from you soon.

We are out of towners and went with a local friend and had a delicious meal. The grouper was luscious. I typically nibble beans and rice (calories) but these were go good I ate them all. Cole slaw was very good too. Service (Anthony) friendly and thoughtful. We very much enjoyed the surf decor with no tv news but films of surfing.

The Redfish Alexandria was delicious in a New Orleans cream sauce. The waiter suggested ordering it over dirty rice and that made it really good.

Don't come here unless you are hungry! And decisive! My goodness, the number of burgers and sandwiches are overwhelming. I narrowed it down to about 7 and then the server had to help me. I had the Philly Cheesesteak Burger, which was enormous and delicious. My wife and daughter are gluten free, and the good thing was that they offered gf bread for all their items, so they were happy as well. My son had a monstrous-looking mac&cheese burger that he could barely finish. Very friendly staff. We enjoyed it and will be back!

A sophisticated Southern regional-style restaurant located in a casual, metropolitan setting, Cypress offers a creative menu of fresh in-house preparations featuring chef-cut aged meats, local produce and fresh seafood. Locally owned and operated by a for
Last evening we went with good friends to a high end restaurant here in Tallyho. We ventured to CYPRESS, where we had eaten a very long time ago... say 2006 or 2007. We were early enough to catch a good $5.00 Vodka/Tonic before being seated. Cypress has very nice ambience; linen napkins, proper silverware , nice artwork and good lighting. Our server Chelsea was polite and professional and much apprecited. We enjoyed a crisp bottle of Rose with our meals, which follow: Our friend reported his Shitake Mushroom soup was delightful. I loved my house salad and Gerry enjoyed his spring salad. Our friend enjoyed his double order of Grouper cheeks and his wife liked the Cypress version of Paella. Gerry and I both ordered the Veal chop. We both tried sawing thru the chop with their best steak knives to no avail! We finally asked ( my friend's suggestion) Chelsea to take them back and have the Chef cut them up for us! They came back nicely cut up and replated. The meat was very tasty, however, the ratatouille was very 'mushy' and the veggies unrecognizable. Our friends bought the 'bread basket' for $3.00! One should never have to pay for bread at any 'fine dining' establishment! Ridiculous! They would be laughed out of town in Paris ! Two other 'fine dining' restos here in Tallyho offer free of charge, hot baked fresh bread! I appreciated clean flatware after each course. We rounded out our meal sharing a Pecan turnover ( the toughest pastry I have ever eaten) with a delightful sauce. One bite was all I I could cut from it! I do know know any meal that I have ever 'worked ' so hard to eat! I am thinking, 'so what the heck is wrong with a Whataburger' next time out? Exasperation talking here....We will soldier on together to try and find a place which meets our expectations....I apologize for my blurry photos, as I had my camera in my purse and forgot to clean the lens there.. Lovely waitress recommended the house special burger with bacon, cheese and peanut butter and jelly. Sooo good. But the onion rings with garlic aioli were even better. And they have Milkshakes .... but that will have to wait for our next trip! Check out their midweek college days for discount on meal.

I just don't really understand what all the fuss is about. Parking is an actual nightmare...are those...tandem spots? We got seated in the back which had patio furniture to sit on I think? Horribly uncomfortable and for the price you pay for the food it was unacceptable. The food was very expensive and the menu was incredibly limited. Vegetarian friendly? Ummm, not exactly....You can basically have their black bean burger cut up and subbed into the other meals as your vegetarian option. Service was subpar and neither of us felt satiated after our $25-30.00 meals. Nope. Wouldn't go back here.

Excellent food at reasonable prices! Family feel. Breakfast is great, cinnamon buns are excellent. Keto options. Carrot Cake is to die for. Lunch is equally excellent. One small step from parking to restaurant (there may be a ramp, not sure.

Backwoods crossing has a very unassuming exterior, but there is a wonderful atmosphere inside; "homey", yet modern and open, if that makes any sense at all....probably not, but regardless, a very inviting interior. The menu here is wonderful, and frequently changing. According to the staff here, a lot of the food is grown on site (on the grounds around the restaurant). All of the salad dressings are made in-house, and the creamy bacon dressing was outstanding. The food here was very well made and well flavored, and was simply incredible. The meal was accompanied by a fabulous beer list, and a good cocktail list. The reputation of this place is well deserved, and is a must-do for those who appreciate good food!!!
