We were lucky enough to go when Rainbow Trout was one of the daily specials. Perfectly cooked and a much larger portion than I expected. My partner had the Red Snapper and he said it was excellent also. Also had the steamed oysters as an appetizer, which were also very good.

What a great breakfast joint. One visit and it's easy to see why the locals support it. Great selection of breakfast items and the portions are large but very manageable. They keep your coffee cup full. I opted for the chicken fried steak and eggs. Both were properly prepared. The wife's single pancake was huge, a little big for some women. I'll be back the next time I'm in town.

Our first visit to S&V which is located in the strip mall, King's Row, which also houses Big Lots. Mentioning this, because the only overhead signage visible from the street simply states "PUB". Guess the signage does not detraqct from business, because by 6PM there were people standing in line outside. Casual rustic atmosphere dining with a full bar and four tv's. The definite highlight here is the service and the food! We beat the crowd by arriving a bit after 4pm. We were seated promptly and service was friendly and spot on with a team approach. We cannot rave enough about the filet mignon steak and cheese sandwiches with au jus for dipping. The roll, the meat, and the dipping au jus were memorable. The fish and chips also received a positive nod. Highly recommend the peanut butter mousse pie. Will return. .

They changed ownership. Restaurant had a well needed deep cleaning. Draft Beer still slow pour with 2 much foam and not cold. Way too many managers on shift. Was like ants running everywhere. Not at all relaxing after a hectic day at work. Staff now wearing shorts... not a fan of too short shorts on normal sized women with white legs Hey Ginger! In our defense that was our first day under the new ownership. There were lots of loose ends to tie off. Sorry you felt the stress. We are fixing something different every day and will be shutting down for a week starting Nov 2 - 9 to renovate the entire building. Keep checking back as we make FishHawk Beef's the best restaurant in town!

Although we were seared promptly, it took over ten minutes before our drink order was taken and ten minutes to finally receive them. Server not terribly personal or helpful. Ordered the crusted steak and filet featured, both cooked to order, but crusted flavor overpowered the meat, but still good.Waitress never offered desert and seemed somewhat disinterested. This used to be my go to place locally, good food and great service. Probably won't go back for awhile with so many other great local options.

I just happened to see this place off of Lithia-Pinecrest while heading into Lithia from Valrico. I didn't even know it was there. It was the seafood and oysters sign that got my attention. I wanted to try the raw oysters, but I got sidetracked when I saw that they also prepare Oysters Rockefeller. We placed an order for a dozen of them. My mother got the sampler (ribs, brisket and sliced pork). I got the fish of the day, which happened to be cobia. It turned out to be a pretty good meal. The oysters were wood grilled as well as the cobia. Both were very good. I would have liked to see a bit more seasoning on the fish. I liked that there was just a hint of smokiness, and that it didn't overpower the taste of the fish. So many places overdo it. The oysters were perfect. We absolutely loved them! The BBQ meat sampler was good. I liked the sliced pork the best. The ribs were pretty average. I say that because there wasn't anything about them that particularly stood out. I've had better ribs in the area. The sides were pretty average as well. I had the sweet potato & green beans. Mom had the baked beans and cole slaw. Everything tasted good. I just didn't get the same wow factor that I got from the oysters. I didn't get to try any of the BBQ sauces. It might have made a difference in the overall taste of the smoked meats. I'll do that next time. We'll definitely go back to try other menu items. I really want to try the raw oysters, grilled shrimp, and zucchini fries. Actually, there are many other things that I want to try. I also want to say that the service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly. The restaurant is clean. The atmosphere was also very nice & country. We liked seeing all the cowboy memorabilia. Mom liked the John Wayne photos. Oh, and there were quite a few people there for dinner on a Friday night. It's definitely on my list of places to go now when I'm in the mood for fresh & tasty oysters.

This is a little far out from where we live, but was well worth the drive. A close friend had made the recommendation. A great restaurant in a small strip center. The place is very well kept with an exceptional wait staff. The place was packed, but it did not slow the service. Very nice bar area with plenty of TV's. Plenty of menu choices but the bologna and cheese caught my eye. Wow, what a sandwich. Almost too much to eat. My wife tried the Bacon grilled cheese and really raved about it. If these sandwiches are any indication of the other menu choices, we will be making the drive once again to try some other dishes.

Cute breakfast spot with a great selection from which to choose. Clean, homey, comfortable setting. Friendly staff, and fresh, superbly cooked food. Prices are on the the high side, but you don't mind paying a bit more for quality.

The Scrambled Egg is a cute breakfast/brunch/lunch spot. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Our server was friendly and attentive. The breakfast sandwiches we ordered were stuffed with eggs, bacon, and cheese. The fruit salad was fresh and tasty. I canât wait to make a return visit!
